There was a radio station that had a disco ball and a series of mirrors leading into the studio. WYBR in Rockford, Illinois. It was a challenge to get to the station without smashing into the mirrored walls. And the only light leading through the labyrinth was the disco ball. 😮

CORDUROY!! lol As a kid, I had corduroy bellbottoms. They were NOT comfortable, nor were they QUIET. lol As for the Atari 2600, I played some at other places, but never owned one until 2009. Yard Sale Find in a big box with bunches of games and accessories for $10. I bought other boxes at the same sale with all of the other consoles and games of Yesteryear. Yes, they all work and YES, you still have to blow on the cartridges. lol Similar situation with Polaroid Cameras, I got my first one in 1998. It did the miniature pictures. Found an antique one 5 years later, still worked, and gave it to my 5 year old daughter as a gift. She still uses it today, as Polaroid still produces the cameras and film. Another camera from back then was the Kodak 110 and the towering Flip-Flash. I still have a lot of stuff mentioned in this video....CB radios, 8 Tracks, lava lamps and more. 👍

The good ol' 2600. The joysticks wore too quickly but such was life.

No wasting babysitting money on a pet rock! I made one. His name was Hardison. He had custom made clothes, several homes, a car, and an RV.

The thing I remember about the 70s was the movie “Duel “ that starred Dennis Weaver and was the debut of Stephen Spielberg as a director. It was about a man being chased by a semi truck in an attempt to kill him. We never saw the driver of the truck or found out why he was after Dennis Weaver. It was one of the best horror movies ever made.

Aye the 70's had Watergate.. In the 2020's here in the UK we got 'PM has a slice of cake-gate.' which will basically keep the Conservative party out of office for 10 years at least. Not because of what the PM did in this case. But because of how the party treated an elected Prime Minister and ejected him from office as revenge for him getting Brexit done.
