Another tip for brown eyed girlies : instead of using black eyeliner, you can use navy blue/purple eyeshadow as your liner. It really complements the eye color so well.. this is also the makeup tip used by the Miss universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach when she's doing her makeup for joining pageants

have you tried apricot/peach lids with deep green eyeshadow liner or pinkybrown/rose lids with deep navy eyeshadow liner both guaranteed excellant alternatives to the brown based look above for brown eyes ....I have used them on myself and my daughter and we've had loads of great comments.

Love it!! But what if we have hooded dark brown eyes ? I think instead of going on the water line , if we put black liner on the lower lash line that works better for us hooded girlies but my shadow never shows up on the lids

I think pink shades make brown pop, the reason why this looks good is the eye liner but it doesn't enhance the brown color.

This has been my go to makeup for the last 20 years haha. Heavy brown shadow, cat liner, mascara on top and bottom lashes. It might not be the most trendy makeup right now but imo it is a classic and really does compliment brown eyed ladies so much.

Have been doing it for years but no wet eyeliner over the black eyeshadow. It looks better in my opinion along with brown eyeshadows. It is the only look I do when I want to do some more makeup. Completely given up on other colors.

Seasonal color analysis would be important for choosing the colors. I'm guessing something like Kibbe body types could also help determine if a heavier makeup like this would work well for an individual. You mentioned that the women from your few examples had various bone structures and you liked the way it looked on them. That still doesn't cover every facial structure and if you love this makeup look then that could also bias your opinion on how it looks on them. Beyond good sleep, hydration, and hygiene, you're really going to be hard pressed to find something that's truly universal in makeup and fashion. People can probably still learn a lot from your tutorials if they find something that does work for them or that they know how to modify to work well for them!

No, it's not universal for ALL brown eyes. Will probably work for smaller/medium almond shaped brown eyes but it's definitely not for larger rounder brown eyes like mine. I have tried to make this look work for me for years without success only to have given it up because it does not flatter my big but rather rounded eyes.

I’d love to do this but my eyes are small so doing Smokey makes them look like I’m high 😂😂😂 just sinks my eyes in even more and it looks raccoon like no matter how neat and precise I do it 😅😅

I kinda get what you're saying about the cat-eye eyeliner, if the idea is to make them look more almond-shaped. Generally universally flattering. If you have *hooded* eyes or lids (like me) I recommend a different shape, such as puppy eyeliner. Then it won't get lost or distorted in the folds 😅
