I'd also recommend the Metro series by Dmitry Glukhovsky. Its a 3 novel Russian nuclear post apocalypse about the last safe haven known to man in the form of Russias Metro system, which ahs been refurbished into a collection of states and outposts where nobody can do anything except fight eachother despite the fact that everyone is probably going to die if they dont stop because theres a new threat to everyone. Its about a 19 year old named Artyom who has to try and cross the entire Metro to stop this threat from killing everyone and it is so good. It has interesting political maneuvering, characterwork, world building, some of the best horror ive ever read even thoughit isnt exactly a horror series. Modern masterpieces imo, it even has 3 videogame adaptations which are better than the game of tlou i think
