Drivable log splitter? Almost, how to make any log splitter a mobile unit! An inside look at the Trax Trailer Dolly, an ideal tool for moving log splitters, dump trailers, hauling firewood, campers, boats, enclosed trailers, these machines are impressive with endless possibilities! Rachel and I contacted this company to go learn more about how and why they do what they do. To say the least we were quite impressed. We will be covering our new Trax Power Dolly 6000 more in upcoming videos. So if you want to see how these units perform in the Woodyard setting be sure to subscribe! I was tired of having to use my truck or tractor to move splitters and trailers around the wood yard, in and out of the garage, etc. I started looking into different options and that’s when I discovered the Trax company. To me their product looked superior to others on the market and they weren’t far from us. I got in contact with Jefferey and Wayne the owners of Trax and set up a company tour. They also provided us with our own dolly to test out in the Woodyard application to help others decide if a Trax is right for them! I was overly impressed at what these units are capable of and how well they are built. The possibilities truly are endless! No longer will we have to take the wood to the splitter, now we can easily take the splitter to the wood!
They provided Hard Working Man viewers with an exclusive discount code as well!

Several questions... I take it these units are battery powered. How long does it take to charge, and how long does a charge last with constant use? Is it hard to steer? Next question is, do they stock extra parts for repairs or just keep enough on hand for production? One more (inquiring minds), how is it in the mud/off road? Neet little unit with many possibilities!
@hardworkingmanoutdoors
@hardworkingmanoutdoors Жыл бұрын
Hello Dennis, yes they are battery powered. The unit I have is 36v so it has 3 batteries in it. I have the 8 hour charger installed on mine but you can get a 4 hour charger installed. I have used the dolly quite a bit so far and it still shows a full charge so I have to think it would last quite a while with constant use. I have not had any issues steering it but it all depends on trailer tongue weight and surface. The more tongue weight the better the traction so I imagine if you were going to move a really large trailer on concrete it may be a bit tougher to steer. The TX8000 comes with a differential though making steering easier. They did have parts on hand and manufacture most of their parts in house so supply shouldn’t be an issue. I have run it through some missy clay and it did pretty well with the lug tires that is in our All Wood Log Splitter and Splitting Table video. I will be doing more in depth and testing videos with the dolly here shortly.

Honestly I was surprised at how well built they are for what they cost. The 6000 is about the price of a premium chainsaw. Jeffery and Wayne mentioned to me on the tour that they want to build the best product available but keep the cost reasonable to provide a great value to the consumer.

John, the TX6000 is $1,750 and with the code HWM50 you get an extra $50 off. I will check the weight of it and get it into our next Trax video. The tires they put on for us were actually designed for a unit they are building for Tesla to move extremely heavy battery cells. But they figured they’d be best for the Woodyard/off road application. It’s definitely a well built, high quality, useful machine! I’m tired of trying to move things by hand or always need the truck or tractor!

That would not work here at my place. Its too un level and covered in gravel here. A 2 inch receiver setup on the 3 point hitch of my 4x4 compact tractor gets the job done without leaving the seat of the tractor. I sell firewood processors that range from 850 lb. splitters to full blown processors that exceed 9500 lbs. If I had a warehouse with a concrete floor the Trax Dolly would be perfect.
