Today we take a look at the protest surrounding UAV Tactical Systems Ltd, Unit F, Meridian East, Meridian Business Park, Leicester, LE19 1WZ.
More info about the protest can be found here - / pal_action
We speak to many constables on the approach but are stopped from getting as close as we wish in order to film the building.
We are also told we cannot take the drone up.
The question is, does the drone go up?
See part 2 to see what else happens - • By Covering it, You’re...
Enjoy!

The drone pilot sent the Sgt off for an early lunch to prevent and further cock ups ( I think the SGT has had quite a few early lunches by the looks of him . 20 years service and he cannot read and understand legislation ! It not in my nature to mock the afflicted, but in the Sgt’s case I am prepared to make an exception .😂

The Public Order Act 1986 defines a march or moving protest as a 'procession' and a static gathering as an 'assembly'. An assembly is a GROUP of people, “assembly” means an assembly of 20 or more persons under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 section 14A. A press pass means nothing in the UK, it IS illegal to impede your lawful movement, those officers need to find new jobs.

@@WorksopGimp yea 'repetitive beats' and as posted above, gatherings of more than 20 people (illegal field/warehouse raves). Basically killed off the original rave scene 88-94 (house/hardcore). Like you say, government couldn't handle the freedom, and the fact they weren't getting a cut of any of it including all the ecstacy that was being sold. Obviously no one was drinking at these events. Lol. There was actually a good documentary on the BBC in the 90s about it. Hopefully it's on KZfaq. *edit: search KZfaq for 'criminial justice Bill 1994 BBC doco' 😉 Great f*cking times. 😎

The original bill of rights that we all gain freedoms from has for years and years been slowly adjusted to remove our ability to speak, move and overall live our lives. The issue is very much far larger than people know it to be. The police don't help themselves at times but they are not the enemy. But no one wants to step forward to tackle this because they become a target by far more powerful bodies than the police. Anyone thinking the UK isn't a socialst country needs their heads checking. We've lost our rights around the Blair era I think earlier than that maybe. But the police are only doing what they are wrongly informed. None of those officers wake up and think they want to be difficult that's a given.

"UK Press Card Authority - It is wholly owned and collectively controlled by the UK’s major media organisations, industry associations, trades unions, and professional associations. It is the only card issued in the UK to be recognised by the police and other emergency services, government departments and many private organisations." So the major news organizations and are the gatekeepers and the only one recognized by police in the UK. What absolute crap! In the US, the people are the press as well not just news agencies. There is no official press pass issued by any government agency in the US. Not one.

The Police state is well and truly upon us and the people of this country just let it creep up on them and let it happen without any serious protest, and in fact assisted it by their voting habits and general ignorance. That scruffy Sergeant was absolute scum and needs removing from duty ASAP as he was far too willing to infringe on your rights and had no clue about the law, in fact, he seemed to rather enjoy it. The drone guys were spot on, but then again were probably selected for being more intelligent than the average dumb copper.

This is very true. The legislation clearly states the restriction is for people involved in the protest. I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t include someone taking photos or the person walking a dog. Yet the police decide that this includes everyone and they would use violence to prevent anyone crossing that line. The convictions wouldn’t stand up in court, but that’s irrelevant, as the police get their way.

Just shows you that knowledge is power. The police officers who had absolutely no clue come off as pretty stupid, while the drone guy was respectful and knew exactly what you could do. Communication is the key and police officers need to start speaking with eachother nowadays rather than just pretending they know the ins and outs of the law.

They could also at least 'aim' to engage with members of the public from 'more' of a position of equality, rather than a position of power. The difference between the two main interactions in this video. The police are supposed to be 'drawn from the public' but still be 'of the public', so as to police the public from within. Not 'apart from the public' over the public. That was the original intent of The MET.
