Thank you for this. A lot of people in my life don’t understand that I’m trying my best to clean my room, do laundry, and to be productive. It’s just hard to do that when I go into a paralysis and I just can’t stop doing that one thing. They always say “just do it” “it’s not that hard” and that doesn’t help. So thank you for sharing awareness

do you mean when you start one task you can't do it quickly to complete the other tasks?

With ADHD there are no habits, only tasks....

It isn't that we don't have brain power, it is often that our brains are firing off way more than the average person, most times we can't even talk fast enough to say all the stuff in our heads. So yes, a shower takes a lot more energy out of us than people w out ADHD, which is why we have executive dysfunction yet huge hyperfocus. It isn't that we don't know how. In my 46 years of life I am so sick of people assuming that when my house is a mess that I don't know how to clean. I know way too much about every single aspect of housekeeping, and that is actually WHY I get overwhelmed just thinking about cleaning.

My family get so annoyed with me bc of this. Whenever I try to do things, it's not immediate even though I wish it was.

As a neurodivergent individual who struggles deeply with ADHD and ASD, this video brought me a lot of comfort and gave me just a couple more pieces to the puzzle, so thank you.

Earlier today, I planned to watch a 3 min video quick than go to the bathroom...15 mins later I watched and listened to the video and sprinted to the bathroom so as not to need to change my pants. I literally have no idea why it took that long..."sigh" On a positive note, I did process annd comprehend the video...mostly...lol❤

Me and laundry is like washing and drying an hour folding and putting away 7-10 business days or until I can’t remember if that was the clean or dirty basket. Could never understand why some things took me forever to the point that as a teen I’d be in trouble or ridiculed daily until my youngest son was diagnosed with ADHD and my brain went ohhhh so that might be the problem and I got officially diagnosed at 52

If you don't have ADHD, I'm really not sorry to tell you this, but neurodivergent people are all their own unique amazing selves with more to them than how they need to complete mundane activities. Love this video. Love everyone who is being and accepting their amazing self ❤
