Very helpful. We have zero hour worker contracts for our staff. From the information here they would actually be employees. My question is can I change the title of their contracts and the wording to reflect this? Or do I have to stipulate other rights?

Thanks for this. It is really helpful. Say an agency worker who has worked for an employer who is a hospital, and has worked there for four years and doing 48-60 hours. Would they be considered a worker or employee of the hospital although they don’t have a contract of employment with the hospital?

It depends! There have been cases before where a contract worker/agency worker has been deemed an employee.
