Awesome channel. I'm getting back into collecting. I'm lucky to be a little Debbie vendor and I'm inside walmarts and targets before they are open so I do get the first look at cases at times. Good thing because I certainly don't want it bad enough to fight with a group of collectors/ scalpers in the stores

Just found your channel and this is really great stuff man. I love the keeping Collecting at Heart, but also knowing that these things can be toys to play with too. Half the reason I love hot wheels is setting up cool tracks with jumps and loops and all that and seeing which cars can make it the fastest/finish.

Gave up on Target before the pride fiasco. The two in our area were moving them faster out the back than through the checkout. I actually witnessed an employee sifting through a case before pegging them. Sorry for the complaining. You got an awesome channel, always on top.

Great video! Great attitude too. I collected for a number of years in the late 90s and early 2000s. It was fun. I initially focused on the First Editions since it helped me to limit how many cars I accumulated. That lasted a couple years, lol, before I just started getting everything that looked cool. I stopped somewhere around 2006. The competition was crazy, and it just sucked the fun out of it for me. I pulled my cars out of the basement last week just to remind myself of what I had (most are still carded). My wife didn’t even realize I had that many down there! It’s hard to believe I’ve had most of these for over 20 years now…

@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 There are, maybe, 800 cars in there…give or take. My favorites tend to be the 60s/70s muscle cars and the goofy Hot Wheels originals like the Radio Flyer wagon. I need to take a look at a rarity guide to see if there’s anything in there that collectors might be interested in. Otherwise, I’ll probably just put them on eBay in lots at some point based on the year of release. My storage room in the basement is a sea of brown cardboard boxes full of all kinds of toys I’ve collected over the years. My wife wouldn’t know where to begin if she had to wade through all of it, lol. I should probably start moving some of it out…

Hey Walter. I always pull up the War Report to start my Saturday. This one did not disappoint! I gotta say I really like the segment with the cars on the track. The editing is pretty slick. I like how the cars slow down in the middle of the clip and you really get to see the detail. That pickup with the surfboard (can't remember the name of the casting ... still searching for it) really looks cool with the reflections off the wheel tubs in the bed. Keep it coming sir! Peace .... I've got over 3000-4000+ cars in my possession so far I started back in 2013 when I was 14 started 1-5 every month to 50+ every week ....then sadly back down to 5-10 a month due to being burned out but now they are bringing alot more to line and bring back old cars to the line up like one of my favorite "Killer Copter" but the name was changed to "SkyFire" don't know why? And also they brought back "Power Panel" my favorite all time model in excited for the 2023 models they got alot more choices lol

The Barbie Corvette has a backseat like the one in the film, and V and E are in Blue on it. Pretty detailed if you ask me, the real one is an EV.

@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 the one in the film did. It's how Ken took a ride with her. He hid in the backseat. The movie corvette which they actually made for the film has a backseat. So I'd say the hotwheels casting is pretty much as detailed as it could get. Only thing it missed was making the windshield shorter.

Ever done 135 around a corner? Front wheel drive cars with 200 hp can reach that now, and a wing on the back of any car helps with downforce... Pushing the rear tires into the pavement at high speed. The rear spoiler is usually adjusted for the best economy on a four door passenger car, but it still adds a minor amount of downforce. TL;DR Wing is for downforce, drive type be damned.

I hadn't shopped at Walmart for years. Until I started hunting again. I hunted Target because of UltraHots and then the red exclusives, stopped when the boycott started and picked up again when they pulled those Pride displays. Target carries the Team Transports and the 2 pack premiums when my Local Walmarts didn't. Now, 1 Walmart carries them, too. We had a BIG drop of L cases here and the Scalpers were out in full force. Finally found the light blue 55 TriFiveTerror, today. I actually bought a ColorShifter 57 Chevy, today. I really like this casting. I saw the Barbie 4 pack 56Corvettes on Mattels website. $30, I'll pass. If these stores start locking up HW and MBX, I'll just start buying online.

Holy crap so weird... just picked up the same D100 and Silverado from Dollar Tree about an hour ago and was totally stoked! I've barely watched first two minutes or so and this dude just showed those same exact two! Not even kidding, amd weird cuz I never watch you tube videos and such so just so random and weird!
