Be it through a miscarriage, an accident, an illness or another means, the loss of a child has got to be the most unimaginable pain for a parent.
While the grief must be grieved in its own time and depth, one thing that can help such a parent is to focus on the love that was birthed from this
relationship.
When the parent commemorates the birthing of this love during this painful time of death, the parent transforms their pain toward the highest good.
Action through service is one of the most powerful ways this can happen.
It is through service that the harrowing experience of loss can be rejuvenated into redemption, love and a new tomorrow.
Dr. Shefali is a NYT bestselling author of The Conscious Parent and The Awakened Family. She is also a clinical psychologist, an international speaker and a wisdom teacher, integrating Eastern philosophy with Western psychology.

So sorry to hear that, unfortunately I know exactly what you are going thru. I lost my angel (Mae was 6) almost a year ago, and it is impossible to express what is going on in my heart. I don't even think I have begun to deal with those feelings. It is just hard enough to make it thru the day. But that is all we can do is move forward if not for yourself for your loved ones. I will pray for you and your baby girl.

Nothing eases the pain or grief from losing a child. Advice from someone who has never lost a child is useless.. you make a decision every day to get up. You make a decsion everyday to carry on like everything is normal. You makeca decision everyday to laugh, love and enjoy friends and family.. because underneath all you want is for the pain and emtiness to stop. But it never will. So you make a choice everyday to live life despite what you feel inside, until it becomes normal again to just do and be. Because that grief, pain emptiness is the new normal you learn to balance them both. That is how you deal with the loss of a child.

I'm so sorry I know how it feels to be lonely without the person you love, we've all lost our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I understand how you feel but life goes on because death is inevitable and we'll all have to face it someday, I lost my son jersey on may 24th 2020 during lockdown on a car accident he just turned 22 on his birthday, got hit by a drunk truck driver, that was the worst and most lamentable day of my life as a single Dad raising two kid's, my 13yr old daughter is my everything and the reason I keep strong, my late wife passed away 3yrs ago to a cardiovascular disease, I felt deeply devastated with grief, but that's the past now, time is indeed the best healer. I'd love to talk to you more if you don't mind! it'd be nice if you just say hi, here is my number +17866676668 or rather you can send me your gmail address so I could reach out on you..

Indeed, and I don’t like people bringing it up unless I do, because it’s my pain and my love for my baby boy….. I am no longer afraid of death, I will do what I have to but I’m just here waiting for the Lord to take me so I can do away with this pain, sleepless nights, headaches, the feeling of not able to breath and ofcourse the loneliness that overwhelms us. I have a daughter and I am doing everything possible for her, but nothing takes this pain that is more painful than anything else in this world. We can not see the pain waves or color of it, but we feel it! Blessing and May the Lord guide you to your son when it is your time.

I lost my son to cancer in 2020. He was only 6. I have never felt a pain so deep and I struggle everyday. I struggle with images of the pain he put up with and all those times he tried to show me how brave he was during his treatment. He wanted me his father to know he was strong and could face his cancer.

Please allow me to share my best friend's story with you. This family knows where to turn in times of grief. Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. We laughed together, played games, sang, and enjoyed listening as our 16-year-old son, Ethan, played the piano for us. I packed a lunch for Ethan for a church mountain hike he was going on the following day. My mother (who was visiting from out of state) and I woke early with Ethan on Saturday morning. He hugged me and smiled, never pulling away or rushing me. He got in the car, waved, said he'd see me later and he loved me. It was hard to watch my "new driver" heading out on his own that morning. As Ethan pulled out of the gate, I turned to my mother and said, "It's just so hard letting go." Little did I know how much "letting go" I was really doing. That was the last time I saw Ethan. He did not make it home that evening. That afternoon, a friend tried to contact my husband, leaving an urgent message to call him back. He tried several times to return the call to no avail. As we were preparing supper, an overwhelming feeling of deep concern for Ethan filled my heart. I quietly blinked back tears. I glanced out the window, half expecting to see a police officer pull up to the house, but no one arrived. However, within a few minutes, a patrol car DID pull into the driveway. In my heart, I feared the worst. My husband and I went out to meet the officer, who confirmed our fears. Hesitantly, he told us our son had fallen off of a bluff and had succumbed to his injuries. Our hearts were crushed; they still are. Yet, in all of our brokenness, deep, continual grief and loneliness, our family has such a blessed Hope and assurance that we will see our dear son and brother again. You see, when Ethan was a young boy, he was saved; he put his faith in Jesus alone to forgive his sins and to take him to Heaven when he died. He realized some very important truths from the Bible that he would want to share with you. His Story Everyone is a sinner. Sin is any violation of God’s Law. God is holy, just and righteous, and He cannot allow sin in His presence. Ethan realized that he - like all of us - had sinned; and his sin separated Him from God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ” (Romans 3:23) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12) He understood that, because of his sin, he deserved to spend eternity in Hell. “For the wages of sin is death;” (Romans 6:23a) [Wages: price] “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) Ethan believed that Jesus, God’s Son, paid the price for all sin when He died on the cross - because His sinless sacrifice was the only thing that could satisfy the just demands of a righteous, holy God. Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb, but He arose the third day, triumphant over sin, death, and Hell. Jesus is alive today! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Ethan was sorry for his sin, repented (turned), and received by faith the free gift that God offered to him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b) Because of this great salvation, Ethan lived his life serving Jesus. He worked hard to spread this Good News to the world. He is alive in Heaven with Jesus today; and because of this great HOPE in Christ, we know we will see him again soon - not because he was a great kid, but because of his faith in the great Saviour! “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28) Your Story What about you? What if you had fallen to your death that day - What if you were to die today? Where will you spend eternity - Heaven or the Lake of Fire? There will not be any parties in the Lake of Fire. It is a place of eternal torment for those who reject God's Son. The Word of God is very clear that there is only One Way to Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) We did not know that Ethan would step into eternity that day; however, because he put his faith in Jesus alone for his salvation, Ethan was ready to go. Some day - perhaps today - you will take your last breath here on earth, and you will step into eternity. Where you spend eternity is determined by what you do with Jesus Christ. Will you accept Him or reject Him? You are not promised another day or another breath. Eternity begins soon - Are you ready? “...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:31b) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “(...behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2 Corinthians 6:2c) ****************************** This testimony has been made into a tract form as well, so if you or your church are interested in having them to pass out, please go to libertyfaith.net and you will find the contact info there. Seeing your child in pain and stress is horrendous. You feel their every twinge and it takes such courage to do the best. I have lost two children but did not have to go through long illness or watch them suffer. But have seen this in my work as a registered nurse. Loss of a child is the most deeply painful thing any parent will ever experience. Just be gentle with yourself and allow yourself to grieve and live on as most comfortable for you.

I never wanted to be a parent, until I found my husband. He had already experienced the loss of his son, born too early, lived for a week. It took him 5 years to recover. Our son, my first his second, never got to take his first breath, he was born at 18 weeks pregnant, stillborn. He is still my son and I will always have a love for him I simply cannot put into words, one I thought I'd never have. Today was his cremation, he will be loved forever.

I will be blunt, but honest. I lost my child in 2007. It took me 5 years to sort of heal. You never get over it. You only learn to live again. Don't except a quick fix, nothing is going to alleviate your pain, and there is no going back. Watch your alcohol intake. I am not saying Don't drink, just watch how much and how often. Learn about the 5 stages of Grief. If you can, get consoling. Unless the preacher has a doctorate in Psychology, he won't be much use to you. Get a real doctor. You have a long road ahead. It isn't one of the most devastating things, it is THE MOST DEVASTATING thing one could go through. Everything you are saying is easy to say, when you looking from the outside in. When you are on the inside, it's a darkness you can feel and it's a nightmare that never ends. However, you do become numb to the nightmare and you learn to live your life once again. I am 14 years removed from the loss of my daughter. I still have a hole in my heart. I have accepted it, and I learned to live with it. There is only acceptance. It took me 5 yrs to do that, which is normal. You can distract yourself all you want, but acceptance is key. Everything else is meaningless. It's a long hard journey, but it can be achieved.

@@larrydal4555 - my heart goes out to your brother. No one should ever have to feel this level of pain. While I don’t know how you feel, I am familiar with the madness this pain brings. Part of you actually dies that day too. It changes one dramatically from the soul out. You are no longer the same, and you will never be the same. People hate it when I say that; however, it is true. It changes you. Some of the change is good, and some of it is… well, what is “bad” anyway? From my own experience, and the people I have talked to, you are just different. AND THAT IS OKAY. You have a long journey head. My friend, this type of heart ache takes years to accept. As I have told so many other people, "There is no healing, nor is there “getting over it,” there is only acceptance. It took me 5 years to accept it. Believe it or not, 5 years is the normal amount of time it takes. So, 3 years from now, when you are still under the dark clouds of depression crying your eyes out, please understand this is normal. 5 years… remember that. It took my 5 years, when I realized it no longer consumed me. It’s not easy. It still grips me ever once in while out of the blue. I will be driving down the road, and it will hit me. I will tear up. Nobody ever told me it takes 5 years. No one told me it will take your breath away 15 years down the road. I met a man last summer. He was 50+ years removed from the loss of his baby. He broke down in front of me. Remember, you are normal. We all process this and feel differently; and we all are normal for doing so. If you haven’t been to grief counseling, see what you can do to get some. Get a good Doctor, with a real PHD and get some help. Sorry, for this issue, I don’t recommend pastors, shamans, spiritualist, etc., but real psychologist, I wish I had of. I couldn’t afford one, and damn near had a psychotic break. One thing that helped me was, I started to write a letter on her birthday. I would say how the family is doing, how I missed her, and so forth. It helped me put my feelings in order, whereas I could sort them out. I still do this, and I post it on Facebook. I still do this, I find it helps me clear out mind, soul and emotions. I find that this is my way of remembering my daughter, and that daddy will always love her. I encourage your own to find a way to honor your son. It doesn’t have to be expensive, just something personal you can put heart into. Something that is you. My friend Godspeed, you have a very long journey ahead.

I loss my baby girl earlier this year. It's been ten months now and I'm still in pain. I'm not sure whether I'm going or coming... I know, I miss her so much and it's not easy to turn the love you have for your child that you loss into something positive. My world stopped, it's like, I'm on autopilot. My condolences to everyone who's coping with the loss of a loved one. Thanks for sharing

@@shimmyshim2318 my condolences for your loss. It's been a year now. The pain won't ever go away. I buy little trinkets for my fairy angel and put it in her memory box. I sketch her, talk to her. I cry out of nowhere but... I'm crying now

I lost my daughter. My only child. My everything. The love of my life. There is no life without her. Her dad was killed in a car accident. It was just her and me against the world. Now I have nothing. There is nothing. Only excruciating pain. 24/7. I'm glad people find a new purpose or they have other children that need them, but I don't have anything without my baby girl. I wouldn't want a life without her. I don't want to live in this horrific nightmare. I just want to be with her.

It's not something anyone can yearn for... We all deal with our grief differently. We have others out there that been there and no matter how long ago it happened, the same emotions come.

I watched this and it did nothing for me. My 21 year old son passed away this past September 5th 2021. Not a day goes by I do not think of him and miss him. I can watch all the videos that mention help for the grief all day long but I will never forget about my son and will take it to the grave with me. The main hard part is going through this mostly alone.

Jesus doesn't want you to go through this alone, He is there for you if you will let Him in. I feel your heartache. I lost my 28 year old son 2 days after you lost yours. 9/7/21. I honestly still cant believe he is really gone. Not sure I will ever accept it. The pain is indescribable. Its like I’m in withdrawal and the only thing to satisfy the yearning is never coming back. I want to climb the walls out of frustration and desperation. There is no consolation or justification. Its like I have a terminal illness and am waiting to die. I, too, am alone. I am so angry at God for leaving me here to do this by myself. I keep asking Him “Why would you do this to me”. In fact I scream it to Him over and over again. Of course, I never get an answer. I hope I die early. So sorry for your loss.💔❤️‍🩹❤️

I lost my son on December 4th. It was my birthday. He had a heart attack. He was 38. I truly believe it was from years of drug and alcohol abuse and it just wore his heart out. He had just been released last March from his first prison sentence. I had such high hopes that he would get his life together this time. He fell back into meth and was shooting it this time. He is at peace now and no demons can taunt him now. He did believe in God and I believe he called on God and God took him. My pain is still fresh and I am praying my way through it

My pain is recent and the pain is in every breath I take, but I try to remember the beautiful moments that we created over 16 1/2 years. Some days I can’t even move, but I have to try to be normal or pretend I am alive for my daughter…. She is my source of power.. I want to give up every day and I just can’t wait to be with him when the Good Lord tells me it’s my time. For now, I’m trying to be a good person so when it’s my time, I can go to the same place where My son went. God allowed me to see where my son is and I am thankful for that and gives me some peace, but the pain is overwhelming and nothing like anything I could have ever imagine. Everyone wants to go to Heaven, but no one wants to die, my son is there and I am not afraid of death nor I welcome of it until my duty is fulfilled with my daughter.

This is a lovely message--and it's all true. My cousin and her husband just lost their only child to a heart attack, he was only 47. When they had him, they had agreed to "one and done" and never had another child. Even if they had decided to have more children, you can't replace one because each child is special in their own way. I was never able to have children, so I don't know how to comfort them. I do know that even if they'd known this was going to happen, they'd rather have their "fifteen minutes of wonderful instead of a lifetime of nothing special". I've lived my whole life with nothing as special as their son was to show for it. That's a grief that hasn't gone away for over 40 years.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain. I just lost my 24 year old son the same way. I am in shock and disbelief. I feel like part of me died with him. It’s a pain like no other and no one can understand unless they’ve lived it so I just wanted you to know you’re not alone. I pray for our peace and that our sons are in heaven and are smiling down at us.❤

God bless you hon! I love sharing my best friend's story to offer true hope to those suffering through grief and sorrow. I pray it is a help to you. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. @TurkPowers

@@249nickym To be honest my friend, there is no getting better. You lost a child, the most unnatural thing in world. I wish I could say something poetic, which would give you that sense of understanding; however I understand no such words exist. There is no understanding to the “why.” There is no “quick fixes. There is only “Acceptance.” It takes about 5 years to accept this type of tragedy. It is an emotional roller coaster, which brings you up and down for the first 2 years. The 3rd year, there doesn’t seem to be many ups… just a long drop into hell. The 3rd and 4th year after, the depression is awful. Finally the 5th year, you begin to accept it as it is. Always feel out your feelings. Don’t repress feelings. Feel you feelings. Understand them. You are not weak for crying 5 years after the fact. You lost a child and it is a pain that is indescribable. If possible, seek some grief consoling. Seek real consoling too, this means no pastors. Preachers can help you find Jesus, but they are in way over their head when it comes to dealing with this type of problem. Find a real psychologist, one with a real degree, and has a real practice. They can help you. Also, you can find books over the issues. If you know someone else who has lost a child some years back, talk to them. They can clue you in on a few things. Some of the things I have done: One is that every year I write my kid a letter. I tell her how my year went, how I am doing, and describe what I am feeling. I tell her I have met other people like me, who have lost a child. I just write what is in my heart. Then, I post it on Facebook. It is just a practice I do, and I find it rather comforting. I don’t know if you are a drinker, but be very careful when it comes to alcohol. You can drink at social gatherings, parties, get-to-gathers, however try not to drink alone. While alcohol does numb you, it can do more damage than good, when you are going through this type of life event. (This was something I struggled with personally. I still have to watch myself, make sure I don’t fall into the hands of alcoholism. It is very easy to do, if you are hurting.) I am 14 years removed from that awful day. I live a fairly normal life, or as normal as normal can get. There are still times that I break down and cry. However, those break downs are few and far in between. As I said earlier, there is no getting better. You just learn to live, without your child. Think of losing an arm. Your arm is gone forever. You can’t grow a new one, it is gone forever. However you can learn to live again, and live it well without it. You just learn how to live without the arm, do things that one armed people do, and occasionally you remember your old arm. This is how it will be for you. I wish you well.

I talk with my daughter daily and it's still like yesterday that she passed. Telling others how to grieve is horrible especially if you have not been in their shoes. My granddaughter was put on life support Dec 10 ,2017 and passed from a brain bleed from trauma injuries on Dec 13, 2017. It is the worst pain and feeling that even a grandmother can't fully feel mother's pain but I embrace her daily with love and prayers. It hurts daily . This lady needs to delete this as it's truly not how loss works and it's completely disrespectful to those who have gone through these losses. My Prayers and heart go out to you. 😥💔❤️

I stand in total agreement with you. People think they can imagine child loss. Sadly you cannot. You have to go through it to understand it and this woman doesn't "get it". A waste of time watching it. Such nonsense.

I think this was the best advice I've gotten since I lost my 32 yr son 6 months ago. Im struggling to accept he no longer exist that's why I'm watching videos like this. He loves to help others and contribute to community and society, and I do believe thru doing that giving and contributing to life it will, help me find a purpose and a way to honor my son and have a meaningful life after this awful loss

I love sharing my best friend's story to offer true hope to those suffering through grief and sorrow. I pray it is a help to you. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. Samuel. I lost my daughter in January. She took her own life after a long battle with depression. i/we blame ourselves aswell. It's been 6 months for me, and we are slowly getting our life back. Or, rather, this other life. One rule that helped was never to think "what if" thoughts. That was helpful the first 1-3 months. After that and the funeral it's time to decide if you choice life, or if you are not ready for that yet. But you have to choice life to be able to move on. Your son would like you to. And he will be remembered for ever. Use your anger in the gym.

I lost my son 1 year ago tomorrow. 9/7/21. He was my best friend, soul mate, whole world. He was autistic and soooo very special. I lost 1/2 of me when he left. The bond between us was so strong. He was my everything. There are no words to explain the emptiness and loneliness in my heart and soul. There is no love deeper than a mother and child. I ask God to let me die every night so I dont have to wake up and start fighting another day. Its a daily struggle and so exhausting. That feeling of nothing will ever be right again. Quite honestly, I am so angry at God for allowing him to go. It ruined my life, our future, everything. I cannot even imagine ever being able to accept this and ‘move on.’ Its just not possible. I love you and miss you so much Blake Anthony. I pray I’ll see you soon💔❤️‍🩹❤️

I lost my oldest child & only son who was 18 just over a year ago hit by a susp license dui driver. I'll never understand why this is usually the case. In my mind I know I couldn't do anything but my heart tells me that I failed him somehow. I couldn't protect him, my shining light in this dark world just extinguished & stolen from me. This has to be what a rape victim feels like, the violation of ripping away everything good inside me that I'll never get back. I wish I could say it gets better, but it deft don't. Your stuck, remembering the person you used to be wishing anything to just go back to that for one brief moment so the pain will subside. I pray somehow my mindset changes & I envy the people who seem to have it "figured out" somehow even though I know there's no real "figuring it out". Maybe one day, I just keep telling myself that. Just hold on for one more day. He was my best friend, all I wanted was him to have anything & everything he wanted. So many times I happily went without food so he could have things he needed. Many people don't understand this type of bond or love. Love is not words, it's actions. Sacrifice. He never disappointed me once.

I could never imagine the pain. I’m 19 and had to take care of a 6 year old for about 3 months. The way she felt like a part of me after just a week or so made me realize how “children” become such a source of Joy and Happiness for any parent. When she went back to her family and I had to say goodbye it felt like I was losing a part of myself and I honestly found it so difficult to let go. I’m so deeply apologetic to any parents who’ve lost a child to an illness or accident of some sorts cause the amount of pain I felt was probably a fraction of what you hero’s have to deal with each and everyday.

I love sharing my best friend's story to offer true hope to those suffering through grief and sorrow. I pray it is a help to you. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. @@tommymangan2675 I love sharing my best friend's story to offer true hope to those suffering through grief and sorrow. I pray it is a help to you. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. I appreciate all words of help. For me grief is a sickness I’ll never be able to control no matter what. There may be a day I actually enjoyed something good. Then out of nowhere it’s like being attacked. I’d like to say in that moment for me I go outside with a glas of water. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is or the weather. That’s what i do to distract. Either it works or the wave of grief emotionally drained me and I can sleep. I lost my adult son. June 2020 I made a tribute video for my son to try and get attention to grief of an adult child a good thread ppl helping each other. That didn’t happen. I feel it’s to hard for ppl. Maybe just makes their pain worse. In counseling I was desperate for help after a few sessions I dreaded. Cause the pain would be full blown. But I kept going for my husband. And maybe it did help. I just don’t know. Hugs to all moms and dads here searching for relief ❤️

We have been through the hardest thing that can happen to future parents. Full of joy and pleasure we have been looking forward to the birth of our daughter for the last 9 months. We played, laughed and talked with her. We went swimming, massaged, touched and hugged her. We were ready for her and she for the world. The delivery had started nicely on the due date. Unfortunately, you were no longer there, you were so close. We miss you so much and will never forget the last 9 months. You will forever be our daughter. Your mom and dad love you dearly.

It's easier said than done, I'm not ready to transform, Im not ready to let go, I need to grieve and let things happen naturally with time. We all grieve in our own way. It may take years but it's my right to feel the loss of my child and deal with with it in my own way.

I lost my daughter May 10th 2020 the day she was born with hydrops . I haven’t gotten over her passing and never will I love her beyond words. I know I try not to blame myself but I know God is holding her in his arms now . (Mehlani Miyoko) . I’m blessed to have her little sister on the way and I’m praying for a healthy rest of the pregnancy and baby girl . To all of you who has lost yours , I understand how broken you are and your not alone even though you may feel alone . It feels like no one understands your pain and that’s what’s most painful. I get it but the strongest goes through the worst . Even though your baby is not here physically he/she is still here in spirit and still understands you are mommy and daddy and will love you forever . God bless you all even though it feels dry better days will come you deserve it 💜

I lost my son on 7 th June 22. He died in his sleep. He was perfectly fine in the night when he retired for bed. He did not wake up in the morning. It was me who discovered that he passed away in his sleep. I cannot one to term with this. I feel its a dream and he will appear. I have to remind myself that he is no more and now I will have to live my life without him.

My wife and I lost our 4 month old child 2 months ago. She was so beautiful and full of energy. We woke up in the morning, she was not breathing. She died in the middle of the night of SIDs. She was my baby girl. She was so special to all the family both sides. We are lost, feels insane most of the time. My wife not doing well at all. I cry all night watching over her. Our world has been destroyed. Crying over your lost son.

My baby girl, 18, was in a car accident. She had been drinking, but was far from being an addict. She did something stupid and would never have done it again. She had two broken ribs and a small puncture in her lung. The doctor discharged her the day after she was admitted and would not prescribe pain medication. This was on a Friday. He treated her like a piece of shit. She wanted to go to her rental where her bed was and had her boyfriend with her. She talked to our family Saturday, said she was hurting, but she said she was okay. Later that evening, she began hurting. She didn't call us, because she knew we would take her back and in her mind, since the hospital hadn't done anything for her, it was pointless. She never did pills or any other drugs. She was very naive and overly trusting. Her boyfriend said that her "friend" claimed to have percocets she'd gotten from her mother. My daughter bought them. They were Fentanyl. She died 10/23/22. She was an incredible little girl. She had the light of the world in her. She didn't deserve this. She had made 2 bad decisions that ended up costing her life. I'm so devastated that I want to die. If I didn't have her brother, I would certainly kill myself. I don't know how I'm going to make it without her. I'm strong, but not this strong. God didn't will this. That doctor killed my daughter. He neglected to care for her. The attorney said that the lung puncture warranted admission at least until the hole closed. He also said that since she was admitted, he was obligated to treat her pain, but neglected to do so. I am going after him. The FBI is treating the case as a first degree homicide.

last night ,my precious son lost his battle to sickle cell disease at age 28 ,,,this was 29 days after losing his brother (age 29) who was killed in freak accident his job , i am consumed with grief bewilderment, anger, deep down i feel like God has cursed me or punishing me. my pastor and friends debunk this theory, but I can't shake this overwhelming sense of abandonment from God . I try to hold to be strong for my 2 daughters i try to rationalize tat it was God will and that there is a reason for losing my 2 sons within a month ,,,i know that with time, prayer and maybe some grief counseling i can feel like living again. but right now i secretly long to sleep and stay there, but i must live and be there for my remaining children.

My condolences to everyone on this thread. My heart aches for you as I read each comment. We all share a common bond and this is the unbearable pain of losing a child. My 27 year old son left this world recently through suicide and I have days that feel so heavy. I understand what it feels like to experience pain that no medicine can heal and that no words can provide comfort for. I can honestly say that the only that has been getting me through is God's strength. I know that my baby is no longer in pain and I remember the beautiful times I shared with him. I have reconnected with the love with him as opposed to only loss. It's hard but I'm determined to keep running this race because my granddaughter needs me. I have started a non profit in his name and hope to help other veterans like my son. God can give you purpose in your pain. I love you all. May God continue to be with us.

I got pregnant for 38 weeks. I went for my 38 weeks check up and I was hospitalized because of my high blood pressure and doctor wanted to induce my baby. The process was done. I was in a hospital for 3 days for inducing. I gave birth to my baby boy. He did not cry when he came out. He lived for about 8 to 9 hours. I did not have a chance to see my baby’s face after giving birth to him since he was so sick that the doctor had to take him away to the NICU. At the time I came to see him, he was on life support and was about to die. When I held him, his temperature dropped. He got colder and colder. Doctor couldn’t save him since he was so sick. My new born baby passed away after that. It just happens less than a month ago. I am still sad about it. The pain is so much.

And it's too late to treat my baby because of complications. there are some people trying to console me not knowing their words add pain in my heart. I feel empty every minute, every day. all her sufferings always flashback to my mind as if I'm watching a movie. tears can't hold back. I'm still struggling and grieving.. My strength to keep moving is my husband and my family.. Right now, I am not still able to accept what happened... I love you so much Sunshine ❤️

I lost my 9month old daughter 5-14-22 and I can't seem to stop crying. This is most emptiness and sadness I've ever experienced. My 4 yr old keeps asking me where she is and why I'm crying but everytime I mention her name or see her stuff I'm sitting in tears again. I don't see myself moving past this pain. It feels like I'm dying from the time I wake up till the time I fall asleep and I don't want to be around anyone but taking all this pain for myself is suffocating me.

God loves you! Your baby is safe with Jesus and would love to see you again someday. I love sharing my best friend's story to offer true hope to those suffering through grief and sorrow. I pray it is a help to you. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. The thought of my parents being so sad about losing their 14 year old son was the only thing that made me not kill myself a few months ago

@@IntentionallyCreated I'm very sorry to hear that...its been 4 years now for me and March is one of the hardest month as it suppose to be her 8th birthday. But here is what I can say to you. Hang in there. It will be very very hard and at this time it is best to surround yourself with people you love and care for you the most. The fact that you are searching for answer on how to cope is already a great start. For me I started a youtube channel to share my grief and that helps but no longer doing that as sometimes it feels like a chore but before I did enjoy and found comfort in doing so. As you can see grief changes and it you will learn how to deal and cope with it. Faith in God was my foundation. Holding on to Christ, the only one that can give true peace is where I found my comfort and strength to continue to live for my wife and 2 other kids. I'm here if you need to chat, talk or whatever. Take it one day at a time, or even one second at a time.
