Sultan's mode of questioning will be considered by many as rude because culture differ from country to country. What works for Aljazeera or BBC journalist may not work for an Eye Africa TV journalist. Sultan needs to give his interviewees the opportunity to fully express themselves. This is not TRRC or a court trial.

Mr jammeh please if you are interviewing, with follow up questions as you said leave them to answer any questions you asked and continue to ask the other questions, if not you cannot control people to answer the question you want and not answer the questions u want, that can't work.plz

This would have been a very important an interesting interview if the journalist wasn't forcing his way in to getting words from Mai Fatty an a good journalist should be a very good listener.

With all due respect EyeAfrica should be honest to Sultan and tell him that this is unprofessional, you interviewing someone because he knows something that you don't know and needed to know, why not give him chance to speak? But you not giving him chance to speak and you trying to put words into his mouth that's not it and this is how you did All your other interviews. What are you thinking? Live whatever you are thinking that the world is listening to you and focus on professionalism. Thank you.

Follow up questions shouldn’t warrant one ☝️to behave in such a manner, at least he’s an icon an elder in this country as far politics is concern
@kabirodarboe81013 жыл бұрын
He can ask tough questions differently.

@yayasaidykhan34543 жыл бұрын
It is more professional to allow your respondent answer. If you are not satisfied with his answers, then you ask a follow-up question. Thats more professional

This is why all the commentators are not happy with him, nothing is going well in this interview, not morally neither Educationally.

The interview would've been very interesting had Sultan acted professionally . As a journalist you need to accord your interviewee with respect and space to answer your questions; if otherwise, then move on. Learn from this and improve next time. Bankudokuwo!
@dembakdampha86012 жыл бұрын
Jammeh you need to work on how you ask people. You don't give him chance to answer. People can't answer the questions the WAY you want.

Actually the boy should go back and learn more about journalism. You can't be forcing someone to heart what you want to hear from him. You rise your question and he give his answers. Now its left to the listener to judge. But your questioning was like you come with an agenda
