She is female nadal. No long sleepy rallies. 1ga is exciting to watch. And coincidentally both are top on clay which is the toughest surface.

@@mindywong3839If its sooo tough then she should have won the "easier" surfaces easily, she should have Wimbledon and Australian Open already because in your opinion they are easier. Why can't she win on the easier surfaces then?

@@nhlanhlamakhanya2285 because the easier surfaces require more generic skills which thereby means there is greater competition. Clay favors players with above average footwork. Power alone can survive on hardcourt but not on clay.

@@mindywong3839 can you honestly know this little about tennis and still be commenting on tennis videos. The movement is just different on the different surfaces. Grass particularly requires excellent footwork, but it is different to the movements required for clay excellence.

That backhand drive at 01:32 is insanely difficult to pull off. Nice to see Swiatek has added drive volleys to her repertoire, huge improvement here from the start of the season.

Pera played pretty well for her ranking. I'd expect her to move up to top 40 or so this season. But Swiatek was in serious precision mode for the most part. That 1st set was why she's #1 and esp. lethal on clay. I think it was 8 straight points to close out the set. Well done.

No she didn't, she was bad for the majority of the match, she really started getting better later in the 2nd set and ot was too late by then

really? Pera loses first set 6-0 and you show her three winners (out of four she hit)? Especially the first set was total Igabliteration. I saw the match, there was no contest, really. I already noticed that WTA cannot swalllow how American tennis players are just punching bags for Iga and other players.

Agree and that's what makes her a solid number 1. She is a no frills, downright practical player. No long hair, no make up, no painted nails, no dangling chains, no rings nothing...just free and light to bring out her best. 😊❤

@@luckyluke4435In USO 2022 they measured constantly the shot speeds. Sinner was able to hit the forehand 4 mph faster than Iga, on the backhand only Thiem was able to hit the similar speed. Iga’s average was higher than top20 on the men’s side…

Yes, it's sooooo annoying. After all this time of her dominance they still aren't fighting hard enough. So annoying. Pera was missing left and right and just making horrendous decisions on court.

Iga was very pleasant to watch, Pera is a pretty solid player, but she had no chance against number one. Now Putintseva, who has been playing well recently and almost won against Rybakina in Madrid.

Good job. Quite a good start to the next tournament. Congratulations to Ms. Pera for showing fighting spirit. Despite everything, Miss Świątek looks uncertain. Bit shaky. Sometimes she feels a little insecure. It's hard to grasp.. but she seems all too eager to make a statement. Maintaining focus on stability at the expense of proving dominance could be a better solution, otherwise it will be difficult to take a grand prize in Rome. Good luck tho.

Rok temu grając w Rzymie właśnie o późnej porze nabawiła się kontuzji. Czy taki jest cel ustawiania jej meczów na taką porę??? Bylam dzisiaj na stadionie zobaczyc Ige, i mecz mialbyc o 19.00, ale była trzygodzinny ulewa, ktora przerwala mecz poprzedzajacy. Nie ma w tym żadnego ustawiania, bez sensu szukac spisków. A zkbaczyc Ige na zywo bylo warto
