People seem to think that all those wins come so easy to 1GA that her matches look almost boring.... This is complete nonsense to me. They may look like walks in a park for someone who never played a single match on tennis court but it is only possible because her level is so incredibly high and for this to happen you need to: 1. work hard as mule in hell, 2. have nerves of adamantium, keep nano blade sharp focus, be born with unearthly talent, maintain kind of special forces self discipline, be healthy like a vitamin, etc. These certainly ARE NOT easy things to achieve by one person at the same time, these are things reserved only for very rare individuals, The Sport Elite Club.

Swiatek is honestly becoming one of the best female players EVER. If she carries on like she’s doing, RG for the next 4 or 5 years is forseeable, US Open certainly a chance as well. Probably just a matter of time before she claims at least a couple of AOs, and if she can find her groove on the grass, I can’t really see where the slams are going to stop.

IG4 won her 4th RG Slam (3rd in a row), owns 5 in total and leads WTA for over 100 weeks. What's also impressive, being just 23, she can and is already an inspiration for many, many players. Oh, boy, may the health be with her. 🤩🤩🤩

Truth is, if Gauff or Raducanu had one-third of her achievements (including WTAs 1000 which Iga has 10) mainstream media would be jerking off about they beeing the next GOAT, next Serena Williams or whatever.

@@user-ig9ts5uq8b I don't see mainstream media talking like that about Raducanu... what she did was impressive at the time because she was a qualifier playing just her second Grand Slam and she won that... and after that she started losing and they distroyed her... Gauff... well, it's usually american media exagerating but they're not talking like that anymore. As for Swiatek, she's impressive but I think she also doesn't have competition, especially on clay. The Naomi match proved it. If Naomi is back to where she was before (let's not forget that she also had a child) it could be interesting to see a rivalry and Swiatek's wins wouldn't be so obvious. Same thing if players like Barty were still around. Swiatek dominance reminds me of Steffi's dominance especially after 1993, when Monica Seles was stabbed.... Amazing player but weak field also.

To be honest, to undermine Swiatek’s greatness and dominance in the world of tennis, especially on clay, with an argument that the rest is weak is the most ridiculous and absurd thing you can do. They look weak because she stands out so much. Her consistency is on another level. Especially if you look how she improves from season to season. When the rest think they jumped to her level, she jumps higher. As of clay dominance. Would you downplay Rafa’s achievements as one of the GOATs by saying that he mostly won in Roland Garros because the rest was too weak to win with him on this surface?

And it's not just Swiatek's success, it's also other players' GS wins and most of all the fact that there are no rivalries out there and no great matches that makes me think that the field is weaker than before. But that happens in tennis, I mean, it's normal especially on the women's side. Also, don't take it as "Swiatek is not good", I'm not saying that... but if she had competition, she would be better as well... that's how the greatest players became the greatest players... Serena wouldn't be Serena if she didn't have to play Hingis, Davenport, her sister... Martina would not be Martina if there wasn't Chirs Evert... Nadal of course had Roger... Swiatek is like Steffi after 1993, when Monica had to stop. But if players like Osaka or Barty (I know it won't happen for Ash, at least) were playing at the top of their game now, for Swiatek it wouldn't be that easy to win, and Krejicova, Vondorusova, Raducanu, Gauff, Sabalenka... would not win probably any slams at all.

She has improved her serve, which is even more important on grass. But I think it's not the season for Wimbledon yet. Her style is perfect on clay, but her topspin forehand is not as dangerous on grass. Rybakina and Sabalenka should have a slight advantage

I'm italian, and of course I supported Jasmine, but that polish girl is unbeatable when she plays in that way. Her ball is too much load of top spin, and she often finds impossible corners...her opponents get overcame by the bouncing ball. Iga is also very quick, gets on all balls, gets everywhere, she's too strong at this moment🙄

Absolutely ! It was even more obvious in the semifinal against Coco as they were shamelessly in favour of the American. Everyone has their opinion but working as a tv commentator definitely requires less bias and more distance.
