What is scary that Iga has incredible work ethic, mature personality, desire to improve and really good team behind her. She is the most consistent player at 22. She is yet to reach her peak. I'm really curious what can she become. Obviously she is already amazing but she certainly can take it to another level. I love it.

Iga is just really something else lol I don’t think I have ever seen any WTA player have so much ammunitions and then with her insane athleticism. This is coming from someone who has watched prime Serena, Kerber, Venus, Azarenka, prime Naomi and the lot. Iga could easily go on to be the GOAT. Mind you, Keys is an exceptional player and Iga has made her look like a Rookie. Absolutely incredible

Keys played very well in this tournament and did what she could today, but when Swiatek is this locked in, it just shows how she is the top player in the WTA. And before some tool says 'She doesn't win every single match she plays. How can she be the best. Blah, blah, robble, robble..." No one has ever, ever, ever won every match. Not even Djokovic, Serena, Federer, Nadal, Graf, or Navratilova. But it doesn't mean they weren't the best in their own way at some point.

Iga is pretty good at hiding directions of her shots when it really matters. She gets her opponents opposite direction.

I'm not a huge Iga fan, but the way she relentlessly crushes short balls is truly incresible and thats why 95% of the tour struggles against her, they are so used to being given 2nd chances to find their rythem and Iga isn't doing that. It will take Elena or Aryna in Slam Winning form to beat her here. Also south out to BHM for taking a set off Iga in the last round.

I predicted a 6-1, 6-1 win by Iga but it is close. Congrats to Iga Swiateck.

I saw Maddie Keys live in Cincinnati almost 9 years ago. At the time there was no doubt she had the power game and the serve to compete with the elite players -- a big strong hitter from the American Midwest who could only get better, a projected heir-apparent to Serena. Inconsistency has plagued her. She made one major final (US Open 2017) and two other major semis but has struggled to advance deep into tourneys in the recent era. At 29, her best attributes still seem present, and it is nice to see her in a semifinal in the company of the great East European champions. Alas, too much Iga, an all-too-common story.

Maddie did her part..... elimination of Coco and Ons was very convenient for Iga. They are actually players who could have troubled her in the semis. They're better defensively and mix it up a lot. Keys was constantly chasing the ball and was just happy to push it back. IGA was dictating from start to finish.

If only Cori and Madison could take over each other's forehand and backhand techniques (their evident weaknesses), they would be very difficult to beat... And Iga has now only two rivals on tour, the rest can't challenge her...

Keys has one playing style. When she’s on, she’s ON! When she’s off, she’s waaayyyyy off. Love her, though. Her forehands are beautiful.

What a stupid match summary! You showed all of Madison's best moments, but she lost! Only a few from Iga but she was the best! Ridiculous 🤦🏻‍♀️ Madison didn't play as well as you showed here ...

The shot many women hit but almost no man would is squatting almost to the ground and swing when pushed at the baseline. They didn't want to take a step back and just sit down. My guess is they feel comfortable and stable enough to take such a shot because their hip is wider than a man.

We saw very nice tenis from Keys in Madrid, she had many 3 set matches to play and surely was not on 100 percent anymore.

Madison should've had multiple slams like Davenport at this point. She just has never learned how to control all the errors she's prone to making. It's a shame because she has such a solid game when she's on.
