yes bile is alkaline. it breaks down fats into fatty acids which are acidic hence the contents of the test-tube become more acidic (concentration of fatty acids increase)

i did miss it accidentally, sorry for that! SCA allele protects against malaria. A is wrong. B is wrong because SCA is caused by a mutation replacing the glutamic acid with valine. C is wrong because it's not transmissible it's a mutation in the person's DNA.
