@tattooninja It’s shocking how many male rock musicians from the 50s though the early 80s used to openly boast about bedding kids, some even as young as 12 or 13. Completely vile and disgusting. Unfortunately Iggy was one of them. It doesn’t change the fact that he made some great music and was a force of nature onstage - but, yeah. It’s unfortunate and gross about the predatory stuff.

My girlfriend and I saw that concert at the Greek. I've been to hundreds of live music performances/concerts over 35+ years. That was the best concert I've been to ever; amazing. //Also, tomorrow or Wednesday is April 21; happy 75th birthday to Iggy Pop.

Love him lots , born in 1969...trying to know almost everything from his superactive life thanks to books, vinyles than CDs, DVDS Finally youtube...my ideal grandpa...saved 3 times by David Bowie during his bad times. Live at 12 km from the Belfort Eurockéennes site where he performed magistrally. When he sings in French, I shed gallons of tears. Long live to him physically stronger, tougher than Bowie, the latter is been missing in my life...

First time I saw Iggy was November 30 1979 at the LA Stardust ballroom, what a show. It was my first concert. Decades later my wife (who went with me to concert, 10 years before we married) found that very show on a bootleg called "Heroin hates you" so I get to relive that show over and over. Thank you, James, for all the great music over the years. p.s. Really enjoyed your tour with Queens of the Stone Age, caught that one in Denver.

@Scott S I'm from Detroit (blow the reveille)! *I was at that show too!* Iggy was ON FIRE! I moved too close to the _'slam-dancin'_ with my sweetie. (Rose) Some guy crashed into her. So, we started duking it out. The, his buddy bear-hugged him & dragged him away. As he was being dragged away; He started flailing his arms around/Hitting those around him! I _'mimicked'_ him. *I* started flailing *my* arms around/ Hitting those around *me!* Next thing I know; 6 _'Sid-Vicious lookalikes'_ started beating me up! I was going down HARD! Then, my _'5-ft-nothin'_ wife reached into the middle of the pile/Grabbed me by the hair/Started shaking my head/Saying "WHAT THE F... IS WRONG WITH YOU!" As my head was bobbing around; I noticed that when she did that; *They stopped hitting me!* So, I just mumbled "I dunno, man." We got the heck outa there after that! I don't suppose you're part of that story? It's ok if you were. Me & that one guy were being real jerks! Anyway, *ROSE SAVED MY BACON THAT NIGHT!* Peace. Stay Healthy! - Dave B.

It's a miracle he's able to walk at all after the many times we saw Iggy dive off the stage and splat on the floor of the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. He'd jump up and keep the show going but he looks like he's paying for it now. The Stooges were great.

@@danielfoster8949 In the early days of The Stooges, Iggy came off as an angry man and he was always arguing with the kids in the crowd at the Grande. That was part of his stage persona back then and I still love Iggy.

My friend met him a DTW airport a few years ago. They were the only two in the waiting area (three if you count that woman, his wife). Ron said he looked like he didn't want to be bothered so he simply said "Hello, great show at the Fox (Detroit)". He smiled, introduced his wife (it may have been a honeymoon trip unless Ig's parents or Michigan friends are still alive) and left it at that. I had the same experience (at airports, Oak and SMF respectively) with both Carlos Santana and Mario Lemieux.

I don't think it's jealousy on everyone's part. I think they're just taking in what looks clearly like a non love relationship. It's not like they've together through thick and thin. She has a lot of intellectual stuff to say although she could be smart. It looks like someone who clearly over sexualized themselves. I have pretty big boobs for my size I'm size 8 and I have over a triple D chest but that girl definitely looks like she had work done. She looks like a weird walking cartoon object not a regular person. There doesn't really look like a lot to be jealous of her hair's kind of nasty. I picture him with someone who's smart as a whip maybe his same height wearing a leather jacket and converse who's pretty but pretty age appropriately not over surgeries. It's sad I used to respect Iggy, not anymore.

i saw iggy open up for the who in the silverdome back in the 80s. people didnt like it. they where throwing shoes and anything else they could throw. when iggy came back on stage to voice his dislike for the crowd, he was booed off stage.
