Iggy takes chances musically, but this album is a welcome return to his punk roots. You can't get more punk than a chorus of "Fuck the Regency!" It feels like it coulda been a track off of Blah Blah Blah, and I am so fucking here for it.

I'm from Detroit (blow the reveille)! The polar opposite of 'New Atlantis'. Iggy's unique style is *all over* this one! *I LOVE IT!* (odd melody, like 'Cry For Love') All 'die-hards' know most of Pop's music requires 5 listens to properly _'get-it'._ What will THIS SONG sound like after five listens (!?!) - Dave B.

You really do need to pay attention with Iggy. How many times I flipped over a song of his years after I first heard it. I'm paying real close attention to THIS ALBUM!

@@johnny2badd681Yea, I vaguely remember 'The Stooges' took awhile for me to like. It was the 1st time I had to get past the _'stoopid'_ & find the hidden artistry. With 'Funhouse'; I dug 'Down On The Street' right off! But, the rest of it; Not so much. Eventually, the melodies started to sound pretty cool. Like Jazz. (which was part of where that album came from) 'Raw Power' was different. It wasn't around where I was stationed overseas. And, by the time I came home; It'd already _'tanked'._ So, I didn't give it a proper listen until 1976. But, I liked it RIGHT OFF THE BAT! Then, came the _'France/Berlin'_ albums. And the rest is HISTORY! It's been a lot of fun following this guy's career! - Dave B.

OGim, whatever currents any given air may run, these wires you bare can yet jolt unprecedentedly as ever. And like always, sums of yr more "alive, uncompromised" moments, as caught in tracking and groove-pressed, shall power whole lifetimes and pivotal years, new sounds and local scenes, spawning all sorts of re-freshly human personalities and snapping others into intensely productape crises. Thx for all that! My gratitude swells with every release, feeding the overgrown norms of my weirdness. Not to be a complete kiss-ass tho, I do have one complaint: *A paragraph-long rant about ticket costs follows...* Even as I type here, praising your "alive, uncompromised" ways, I all-the-while wish that the near-ubiquitous (in the USA, at least) handler and pusher of concert tickets "LiveNation" were just a bit more, uhm, compromising in their General Admission ticket price setting (aka "pumping', 'fixing', etc, in the more scammy scummy runaway monopolist senses of these words). For instance, the cheapest floor tickets for the San Francisco show, nearly five months from now, is $140 (+ $15/$20 or so in the inevitable "service fees"). Come on. I'm sure you know and appreciate that a big portion of your fan base consists of persons struggling to pay bills every month (which can get especially dire given the Bay's rent costs). Now, from what I've heard of this "LiveNation" landed ghoul cabal, I'm sure you as an artist don't get too much say in such things, especially if wanting to get your fair due income surge after carrying through the oft draining chain-lightning run of a full tour. Still... The current price is just kind of jarring. Plus, wouldn't be surprised if they're ripping the artists off as well. Ok. *End of public rant.*
