D'Arby legally changed his name to Sananda Maitreya on October 4, 2001, explaining "Terence Trent D'Arby was dead... he watched his suffering as he died a noble death. After intense pain I meditated for a new spirit, a new will, a new identity".

Men were just following a fashion trend like girls imitating Madonna. Boy George and others started dressing up feminine and some guys on the club scene imitated them. But mostly guys were just guys. Nowadays is totally different. You cannot tell who is who. But hell, times are weird and young people are nothing like we used to be. Missed the 80s!!

You mean a protege of Prince... No, he was never, he got a record contract on his own, in London, Epic Records... This type of "live" performances at tv shows like "top of the pops" have always been lipsynched.... You can watch his live performances at Letterman, and some full concerts, he sings live, no lipsynch
