I have no credentials to make me an expert of any artist or genre . But I believe we are truly blessed with the gift of beautiful music . The light and the power and the beauty . Gotta argue. It's a thing of 'what does this remind you of," but I will say that there's a thing about Sturgill's voice that is just unique. It can remind you but I think it's important to NOT tie someone to someone else...to admit that this is a primary sound. That was probably aggressive, but I just wanted to make that point. We still love the song.

Waylon said Bob Wills was the king and I felt that but Waylon far surpassed them all! I’ve heard people compare Sturgill to Waylon and I do get the reference but I personally hear a lot of differences, as a singer myself i sing them quite differently. Totally different… Sturgill is special because he is also Rock and Bluegrass. His bluegrass kicks ass!

When a soul speaks like his does. It makes you want to speak the same. I'd love to show the world how my soul feels. Sturgill has been so inspiring in the last years of my life. Connections are deep. Lyrics cut even deeper. Inspiring at the least. Maybe one day I could make the same connections as he has. Let alone the jam's to this session. It feels like someone is on my shoulder to fulfill greatness and fulfill other's connections to a sunset of feelings lowering through the window of their living room. It's weird how you have a feelings of where you belong. My goodness Sturgill has gone in all the right directions. God Bless.
