Spider-Man 2 may take place in the same New York as 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man, but quite a bit has changed since then. Here's a comparison of the city between Spider-Man 2 and the first game.
Spider-Man 2 takes place after both the OG Spider-Man on PS4 and Miles Morales. For this side-by-side, we're using Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, ehich came to the PS5. This isn't a graphics comparison, just some gameplay to show how the city has changed, but we recorded in 4K Fidelity mode in both games. Spider-Man 2 features Venom, Kraven, and a whole host of new and returning villains alongside new abilities, skills, suits, and more.

LODS = Levels of Detail, basically the quality of how things render at a certain distance, that's why things in the distance look worse than closer up, because they use lower poly and lower texture versions of things in the LODS so games run better, that's why pop in exists in games although it's cool to see that it's becoming less of a thing now@@zozzinator

Got it today and wow how much more dense the city is now it makes swinging down low claustrophobic with all the traffic it's a crazy difference! Loving it so far with a few others on how they give it an 8 yet jedi survivor is a 9? But hey the metarcritic is at a 91 so says it all!

All the Fisk construction sites are done. The whole city and Central Park looks cleaner and the trees are greener. Either Oscorp's new healthy plant and bee drones experiments are working, or the people are starting to take better care of the environment.

Also there is a glitch to get night time, but make sure to have a manual save while its day so you can switch back and forth.
