how to remove the clip from the coil was what i was looking for! perfect! thank you! took abot 30 minutes to replace all 4 coils and plugs, so easy!

@@SmexyEspri yup I’ve learned that unless you get in a wreck or need a new engine, never go to a mechanic unless you wanna get ripped off. I’ve seen $50 relay/fuse changes, $300 spark plug changes, $100 air filter changes, and the list goes on and on, and all these things take like 20 minutes to do

What size rachet or connector do it take to change them out

3/8 ratchet and 10mm socket, torque spec. Is 8.7 lb~ft. Thanks for watching.

If you get a read back for misfire on cylinder 3, do you have to replace all 4 coils or just the one for the 3rd cylinder?

As a tech. I strongly suggest to replace them all, as a DIY you can replace the one causing a misfire then deal the other 3 next time.

What would cause the coil to go bad? Whats the mileage on this car? Also, what is the part number for the gray fasteners holding the wire harness in place on the intake manifold? I broke two of them a d would like to get it replaced.

Weak RFI coil spring, kia release new coil with improve RFI coil spring, cant remember the mileage, I'm not sure what fastener you talking about. Sorry.

If it's just the number 2 miss firing why are you changing all of them

All of them are same mileage in it, sooner or later one of them will fail and cause misfires again then customer will pay another diagnostic fees, we discussed that with the customer and agreed to replace all 4 coils.

I was attempting to remove the ignition coil on my 2018 and it was super tough to get out. As I pulled one it all just kept coming apart and pieces of it kept getting stuck. What can do? Did I do something wrong?

Sometimes they get stuck. Use needlenose pliers to pull the pieces out of the hole but be careful to not be rough as the spark plug us right underneath.

So I have a misfire in cylinder two, I change the spark plugs and now the coil for cylinder two. Do you know what else I could check ?

@@Xman1993 I suggest to disconnect suspected injector check for resistance and compare to a know good injector.

I thought you were suppose to place the coils in reverse order from how you removed them and you never mention specs of 18lb ft pressure to torque the spark plugs or the 8lb ft pressure for the coil ignition bolts are the specs not needed?

I forgot to mention torque specification on this video, very important to torque those bolts within spec. my other videos mentioned tools sizes and torque spec. I appreciate your comment.
