The plaintiff rented an apartment from the defendant. She claims the defendant was a terrible landlord and the apartment was in shambles. She’s suing for moving expenses. The defendant argues the plaintiff stopped paying rent, so she’s suing for unpaid rent and punitive damages.

Plaintiff “seriously” was not only trying to get out of paying a single penny for any rent at all, but also expected the landlady to pay for the deposit & first months rent on a new place because she was getting evicted?? lol!! Oh my!! Some people feel so entitled, they think they can skate through life not paying for a thing!! Amazing! I do property management for office space. Omg the people I have to deal with. Beyond frustrating. What really gets me is when they throw a fit over something that is in their lease that THEY signed. I verbally go over the things I know they will always overlook but in the end it’s always, “but I didn’t know”. READ your lease and LISTEN to me. Grown ass adults acting like babies.

@@ms.s0665I have severe anxiety. I have no idea why I’m in this profession. Lol. I’ve had a tenant start yelling at me and get in my face. Then there are the tenants crazy ass clients. I’ve been threatened and I’ve had someone try to come over the desk at me. We’re by a transit center so we have the violent homeless people come in too. There was one weekend a homeless man snuck onto our floor (we have the entire 4th floor of the building and almost 60 offices) and he proceeded to use the kitchen as his toilet. I’ve had a client of an attorney’s get in my face and threaten to punch me all because he didn’t have an appointment and the attorney wasn’t there. I’m a woman that is barely over 5 feet tall. Good times.

I'm so tired of section 8, apartment help or whatever you want to call it. If you PHYSICALLY can't work...PAY YOUR F-ING BILLS!! EVERY bill or debt YOU dont pay WE TAX PAYERS PAY FOR AND THEN OUR RENT GOES UP, WE LOSE OUR HOUSES(CUZ WE WORKING PEOPLE DONT QUALIFY FOR "HELP") AND TAXES, INTEREST RATES, ETC GO UP.
