Күн бұрынHere's a little riff I came up with recently, highly inspired by Van Halen, so I decided to record it :) Using my Fractal Audio Axe Fx 2 and Charvel USA Guthrie Govan custom as usual. Backing track is made by James Humphreys.

Ed had swing to his thing. This is too tight to be Ed. It's Satch playing VH taps. I love both styles and this was an amazing 2 mins and 14 secs. Thanks for it.

This is a perfect example of how it was just as must style and feel of EVH's playing that made him EVH, just as much as note choice. Igor is great, no doubt about that. But, you have to have it in your DNA to sound like Eddie, not just be a phenomenal player.. I agree with other comments.. Sounds much more like Vito, who was a phenom trying hard to be Eddie, but just didn't have it in his DNA. Cheers!
