Ok, this might seems a bit boring, but I think it is good to create an init preset as it will help explaining how parameters work in the coming tutorials.
This video includes:
- Create an init preset
- Change input and output levels
- Dry and Wet parameters
- High Pass Filter and Saturator (select the right input sound to hear the difference)

Nice tutorial! Another way to get an Init Patch is importing a wav file as impulse response.

Yes indeed as it creates a preset… there is a tutorial coming on that as well… :)

Wow, great informative- and crystal clear tutorial. 50/50 info, combined with actions (so different with other tutorials which are sometimes 80% blablabla and 20% actions; which is really boring). Looking forward to the next ones, thanks!

Next one is a bit more complicated as it touches on loop recording and different modes and the use of Euclidean cycles linked to steps and pulses… will get there… :)

If we do not have an init preset it can get quiet confusing quickly as I go into loops and multiple outputs with steps and pulses and automation on top… hence the approach :)

Ok. Found it! It was the Attn knob (IN/OUT) which operates independently of the presets. Creating the INIT preset it was set to 0. The 0 remains in all presets, preventing you from hearing them.

A good practice to keeping your own custom presets (and files in general) is to add an underscore before the name ie _INIT. This will place the names at the top of the list.

11:51 Hpf/Saturation only affects audio sent to the Loop section? Only audio from loop section is affected by Reverb? Dry/Wet mixes input audio with the loop audio?

if you are saying that the audio is taken through the loop section the answer is yes as the audio is then split into the 3 outputs, but the audio through the loop section is not always going to go through the loops and recorded to apply HPF or reverb, for example in Direct mode the loops recording is not used…

@@soundformore Thanks. I understand that audio through the Loop section is not recorded in Direct mode. I think Input/Loop would be a more accurate name for the Dry/Wet mix control.

After creating the INIT preset, all the original presets are muted. I can't find the parameter that makes them sound. Play 1, 2 and 3 show signs of activity but no sound. The only way to get the presets back was to uninstall Spacefields and reinstall it. Any ideas?

Soundformore is one of my favorite app tutorial channels, but I fear that lately you have been drawing out your tutorials in order to make multi-part series for each app. I liked it when your tutorials got straight to the point and were more efficient. Just my opinion, I know others may feel differently.
