I never knew there was a IGS collection was released this year on the Switch. I've always wanted to try out Demon Front and Martial Masters for the past 15 years so I might pick it up in the future.

From the sounds of it, the only thing interesting is the Chinese Literature theme... speaking as a guy who loves the Three Kingdoms novel. Well... that Metal Slug clone looks fun too. I think Martial Masters got a separate release via the Arcade Archives branding. I know I bought a game on Switch with a similar title.

The lack of 4:3 is a real killer. I heard it got patched in but I never bought the collection and don't know if that's true or not. It's kind of a steep purchase just to check, since no original aspect ratio is a dealbreaker for me.

They did patch in the 4:3 thankfully, but yeah, your mileage may vary on if that makes it worth $30.

should come to PS4 too. Glad Water Margin made it to PS4 titled The Tale of the Clouds and Wind. though this Collection is super valuable but I wont purchase Switch just to play this. everything runs worse on Switch. (including SMT V and Bloodstained ROTN) they would get more customrs across PS4 and PS5. maybe its the timed exclusivity delaying it but these really should come to PS4. Xiaomei game too.

I don't blame you. Although personally, if they have this much trouble getting video games from the early 2000s to run on a piece of hardware that came out 7 years ago, they should probably pack it in.

I STILL don't have a Switch, but am still planning to! But yes, I'd probably buy it on the PS4 if it happens. How likely is that though?

Did they patched this? I wanted it when it released, but heard it had many emulation issues with sound input lag, and aspect ratio.

To my knowledge I haven't heard of one but I'll check. If they haven't patched it by now I doubt they will.

Seems like this collection got 2 updates since release, one of which was after this video was made... Can you tell if they improved the emulation with any of the updates ?

I saw some slight improvements, and they did add an option to switch the screen size to 4:3, but that's about it. Your mileage may very on whether it's still worth spending 30 on.
