Armed by police personnel, veteran director Bharathiraja has commenced his dream project ‘Kutra Parambarai’. It is to be noted that while the film deals with a controversial subject, the ‘Iyakkunar Imayam’ was also involved in a tiff with director Bala, as the latter too wanted to do the same subject.

Beautiful form of expression: love sir's confidence and proudness in his character and work ethics. He was straightforward, explained everything clearly with definitions so others can understand the truth of the matter. Age and work can be appreciated only when you show respect to others as well. Even though he was hurt and angry he mentioned ppl can act differently and childish as they age and that can be forgiven 😉 others should learn some confidence from Bala sir.

I liked all Bala's movies that were original and thought provoking. Though Bharathiraja's old movies were nice to watch they were merely entertaining. Given the opportunity Bala has the ability to do equally well or even better in directing Bharathiraja's old movies but I do not think same can be said of Bharathiraja. Can't these old veterans retire gracefully from the industry giving way for young and more talented directors like Bala? Selva

Bold speech. It is some time that Bharathiraja has produced a film worth mentioning and all that he does now is sing his old glory. Bharathiraja commenting that an actor should be a native Tamil to play a particular role shows how immature and nationalist he has become. Wonder if his heroes and heroines were all Tamil? (Revathi, Radika, Sudakar, Rathi to mention a few) The Award winning movie 'Gandhi' was played by Ben Kensley and I doubt if any Indian could have done it better. Bharathiraja is losing ground and finding it difficult to compete with the younger minds. K Balachander in contrast to Bharathiraja never felt that the younger generation was a threat, rather a challenge and that zest for learning kept him going til his last breath. If Bharathiraja does not keep up with the changing times, he will be forgotten and long gone.
