The thing i am worried because unlike an engine crane easy to maneuver this gantry for one guy pulling a motor out and it's a heavy 7.3 diesel with a Zf 5 speed transmission may be a challenge going back and forth to pull it out so this got me thinking, if i just had a way to control each side either together or one side pulling if needed be then an electric wheelchair pair of motors a couple batteries and you have a 12 volt tugging set of wheels controlled by a hand held joy stick off that same wheelchair chair if you needed a straight pull just pull back on the joystick, may take a little getting used to driving it but one guy could control it. Just the same as those giant boat hoists that haul yachts out of the water. So this got me thinking it should be a drop down configuration so i am going to use a couple hospital bed actuators (one per side) to push the articulating wheelchair motor and tire firmly against the ground on each side then just drive the lift wherever. This way if the wheelchair controller burns up i can manually move the lift too. May seem to be a lot to do, but to me is fun, i am older 55 and a bad back and building things is fun to me , so it will be a fun project. I will keep you informed as i make progress on this , i have quite a bit of stuff to do to get it to work but i think the electric wheelchair i have i can make work, i got it free off Craigslist it just needs batteries but is nice and the seat with arm rests will come in handy somewhere on a garden tractor maybe lol, I have some work to do in my shop before i can start this because i am a pack rat in my shop i save everything and well my shop looks like a hoarders house sometimes but when i get to it i will keep you informed !!! : ) have a nice day man ...

Jacob I have a IH 1256 trying to separate tranny from rear end but it's hung up , what did you do with the big screwdriver through the MCV ?

You have to pry the gear ⚙️ off the ipto shaft while your pulling it a part.

I have a IH 1568 tractor, will have to put a ta also never done this before.
