Can you share the dark reality? Is it really worth choosing IISc over IITs if I am interested for placements only

Heyy, are there any courses you would recommend doing from iisc for placements that hold importance in coming years

Design in Bombay madras Delhi and IISc mechanical all 4 are good you can choose anything

@@mech_rk then why did u joined isro over any campus placement company from IISC ? No one from non core branches will leave placements for any gov organization . Dept & location allocation is so random in isro that getting probability of getting core research work is more in private R&D companies

bsc is not meant for placement, if anyone wants placement after graduation then its better to do btech. bsc is good for research and for doing phd after bsc

@@krishkumar5688 during PhD stipend is not that much good enough that you can support your family, so if you want to support your family financially just after graduation then go for BTech, take job after BTech or after MTech

@@mech_rk then what is the purpose of research .. Is it that only rich people can research. What about others like me who loves science and want to achieve something in science but you know I cannot depend on my father even after graduation???

​@@krishkumar5688 in india if you do PhD then your stipend will be 32000 per month with that you can easily survive yourself and send some money to your family, so if this much amount is sufficient for you then you can follow your passion, but this amount is much lesser than average salary you'll get after BTech if you have done it from good institute. But there is called pmrf scheme, if you got selected then you'll get 70000 stipend during PhD so if you are really passionate about research you can try for that, only few people gets pmrf scheme. If you fo PhD from abroad then stipend is good but expenses are Also good, so it's depands on you how much you can save, but in general you can save enough amount and sent it to india to your Parents and that amount will definitely much greater than the amount you can save by Indian PhD stipend.

specialised branch is not allotted in mechanical you can study anything by taking electives of your interest from 2nd semester and choose any project

Placement is Not good for core civil anywhere

majority BS vale placement me nahi baithte vo MS karte hai ya direct PhD karne foreign chale jate hai but jo baithte hai unka ho jata hai utna acha nahi rehta unka placement, proper science domain ki requirement kam hi rehti hai and package bhi kam hi rehta hai but vo log aise aur bhi kafi sari companies me eligible hote hai like software developer or data scientist but vo sab ke liye BS karne se better hai B.Tech hi karlo koi IIT NIT se
