The State Administration Council has recently suffered several setbacks along the periphery of the country, as the conflict in Myanmar stretches into its fourth year. Several governments have outlined different visions of how peace can be achieved in Myanmar, reflecting contrasting assessments about the strength of the parties to the conflict. These visions have played out in diverse approaches to diplomacy around the conflict. This special session will ask what a path forward for Myanmar might look like, and how the international community can best assist the people of Myanmar.
