In India 50 lpa is highest you can get for foreign its generally 1 cr package.

Currently, I'm not working but may find a job which gives me enough time to prepare for Gate. I want to do M.tech in CS from top 3 IITs ( Bombay , Madras, Delhi). Will there be any differentiation during placements even in IITs for non-cs students ? I'm 27 now and will be joining a college when I'm 28. What do you suggest ? This year i.e Gate 2024 I couldn't apply as I was working and not decided yet. If I want to apply for next year Gate exam, what should be my preparation plan being a non-cs graduate ? Thanks

There are many..Goldman Sachs, Walls Fargo, JP Morgan. Every year they recruits many MTech students from IIts/IISc.

So is it fair to say that every year no matter the market situation IIsc has more data scientist and system roles offers compared to IIT bombay? And on the contrary IIT bombay would have more international placements even if its 1-3 every year compared to IIsc irrespective of the market?

@@Soham_-..-_9011Ai Roles are always higher in IISc as compared to IIT's. Whereas SDE roles are higher in IIT's as compared to IISc. So both colleges have their own advantages. In IIT we have around 8:2 for SDE : ML roles

Yes IISc focus more on data science roles, and hence they go for lots of startups even to come up with data science roles. In IITs, as Btech is there..more SDE roles are there.

Hi Only 2-3 students from entire batch getting placed in FAANG companies from prestigious IITs?? Have seen interview of non IITians cracking these companies by preparing DSA. So my question is Is Mtech really important for getting placed in top MNC's?? Here the point to be considered is Placements... This may be a topic for a separate video 😅. This is a very tough time for all freshers. FAANG India is not hiring offcampus nowadays. They hired 10 students (Apple -2, Google -3 and Microsoft -5)from Mtech CSE. The selection ratio is 1:10 (Mtech CSE Batch size 100). In the time of the recession, it is quite a good ratio. otherwise FAANG hires 15 to 20 students from Mtech CSE.
