Honestly speaking.. The food is far far better than most of the mess hostel in other colleges infact Hotel and Restaurants too fails sometimes drastically in front of Mess in IIT's.

They deserve it after coming in top 2% in Toughest entrance exam of India But other govt colleges like most NITs,IIEST should also atleast try to improve their mess standard,not at par with IIT but atleast Nutritious for Students.

For all.. This is a special evening dinner, served twice or thrice a month. This mess is located in the newest hostel of IIT BOMBAY that is H-17. I'm also the resident of H-17, and mess fees per semester is 25500 INR.

Many years ago went to IITB for entrance exams for a PG course . Hostel room and food was provided free of cost . Kadoo ki sabji was very common dish. How things have changed . Waqr waqt ki baat hain

IIT D back in the day during early 2000s used to give Maida roti which was uncooked and chewey, dal which was tasteless and one of the worst foods you could eat. This mess at IITM is just awosome, infact looks better than many 3* hotels. I hope IITD is listening and does something to improve the food quality and mess infra.

Though I am a regular student of TISS Mumbai with accommodation provided in campus itself, I chose to live in powai along with my family friends. IIT mess was a prominent reason for that

IIT IS FUNDED BY INDIAN TAX PAYERS, SO ALL GRADUATES SHOULD SIGN FOR A ROS FOR A MINIMAL 5 YEAR BEFORE THEY MIGRATE TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES.

Hai rahi baat migrate karni ki kyun nahi karenge 135 cr hai hamari population 250 seats ke liye 17 lakh applicants upar se quota system to India main reh ke kya ukhadega koi ye jansankhya hamare liye shraap hai vardaan nahi

Bhai IITIANS ne wo earn kiya hai, koi khairaat mein nahi mili hai IIT mein seat. Aur ek saare students fees pay karte hai - hostel + mess fees. 4 saal IITB mein padhne ka kharcha 12+ lakhs hota hai. Aur tum dusre ko kyu bol rahe ho khud itne capable bano, IIT nikaalo aur INDIA 🇮🇳 ko serve karo.

No IITs are Govt sponsored now. All these are from pockets of student's parents, not a single penny are from Govt. Only the professors salary are paid by Govt, and rest all expenses are paid by students and other Private sponsors of projects.
