Leibniz's concept of concomitant causation that you describe so well seems to have a strong parallel with the modern scientific theory of quantum entanglement.

41:51 Here Leibniz sounds like preaching Deism, by regarding God as the "single outside cause". The term "outside" emphasizes the transcendental aspect by overlooking the immanent aspect.

I found the gradation of monads from lower to higher very much similar to Jainism concept that each particle possesses soul but they vary in their degree of consciousness. Can there be a comparison between the two?

That's right. Like Jiva of Jainas, Monads are Qualitatively alike i.e. all are conscious and Quantitatively differ i.e. degree of consciousness varies. In that way, Monads are also similar to *SELF* of Ramanujacharya of vedantist school and *Purusa* of samkhya school.

Sir, I have some doubts. If matter is force, means they are same. How can force be attribute of matter? And how force is the union of soul and matter? Matter was united with body while defining force/monad. But while explaining the dualism they are explained separately.

Very informative and helpful lecture sir. Is it possible that the concept of monads from lowest to the highest is similar to the concept of Atma to Paramatma in Indian philosophy.
