Hahaha. I can’t sing but I made this for fun for my kids when they were younger. You are right about Dutch and English. Dutch is less smooth as English but there are similarities. First of all, a lot of words in English are coming from the Dutch (once they were a mighty power in the world, regardless the fact that we are a small country). And at the same time the Dutch use a lot of English words. Every child in the Netherlands has to learn English starting from the age of 4! Almost every Dutch citizen from 60 and younger can conversate more or less in English. As a matter of fact, in a lot of our big cities there are not enough Dutchies to work in restaurants etc. So the workforce often comes from Eastern Europe. The standard language is English. You if you are coming from an English speaking country, traveling in the Netherlands is pretty easy. You can talk in your own language with pretty every Dutchie.

@@RienSchalkwijk I noticed that Dutch and English words so often have common root words, even if they've diverged in both meaning and spelling. The first time I read Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales" many many years ago, my first thought was "wow, this seems so much like Dutch".

Hahaha Rémi, although I’m not a singer, I definitely can better than this. This was just making some fun. It’s a comic children song. I never could thought it got so much views. This is the French translation: J'ai une tante et un oncle, qui sont assis dans un chêne, un chêne à Laren. Eux-mêmes, de chêne, construit une maison dans cet arbre, ils y vivent depuis des années. Là ils dorment et là ils mangent. C'est très gentil, n'est-ce pas si libre de tous côtés ! Ils n'ont pas de voisins avec radio, mais tante pense que c'est couci-couça. C'est si haut, si haut ; dit tante. Elle n'est jamais vraiment à l'aise. Le landau est accroché à une branche et c'est répréhensible. Elle n'arrête pas de dire à son oncle : Je préfère être dans un arbre plus bas, ici c'est trop dangereux pour moi. Mais alors oncle dit : Oh viens, oh viens ! Un arbre plus bas ? Eh bien, pourquoi ? Nous avons tout le confort ici. Les enfants ne veulent pas partir, n'est-ce pas ? Ce n'est toujours pas délicieux, disons, que grimper dans ces branches! Pensez-vous que c'est comme une cage à oiseaux? La vue est toujours aussi belle ! Vous devez toujours crier aussi. Et ma tante dit : Eh bien, eh bien, si tu le dis, il doit en être ainsi alors nous resterons ici. Alors ma tante vit avec mon oncle, toujours là dans ce chêne, ils sont très satisfaits. Mon oncle prend du pain et rentre à la maison. Les enfants grimpent autour de la maison. On ne tombe jamais.
