@@vanilla4362 A lot of metal bands come from Scandinavian countries (mostly Black Metal) Right now, Finland has 42 metal bands per 100,000 people. Followed by Iceland (31) and Sweden (22) so yeah.

Fry screams are really tough to do consistently live. There are very few vocalists who can do it really well that high and they're notoriously known as incredible vocalists. Sam Carter from Architects comes to mind.

Genuinely this is what I imagine a textbook Death Metal scream is. Adding onto the fact that Ike can also do a "grill" voice, I'm convinced that Luxieum has incredibly talented voices and that it exists solely to hammer home just how much I swing either way

Technique, i don't know the exact details but there is a technique for screaming and growling without putting any pressure on to your vocal cords and throats.. do it wrong and it will hurt. Its impressive when a Vocalist can swapp between screams/growls and clear vocals without any appearance of strain put on their voices, still being able to sound so clear and solid. This is not easy to do, all the more impressive that Ike is capable of doing that.

Honestly between the revelations of his karoake stream, his narration and voice overs while playing To The Moon, his villain/morderer voice from the big prophunt version of DBD Collab a while back, you can really see how Ike can cover a whole spectrum on his own.

Dude when did he practice this? It doesn't take talent to do a fry scream, but rather knowing what you're doing XD He even ends it off so well each time. My favourite genre is progresive metal. I can't say I know all that much, but DANG he didn't even count up, he knew what pitch to jump to and everything. TEACH ME.

I was wondering what type of scream he was gonna do since I knew nothing about his content. Thought it'd be some anime MC scream of anger/motivation, but got a cover of a song I had never heard of. I listen while doing something else, not much thought into it. Then drops the scream. Eyes widen, go back to look at the screen. This ikkemen just dropped a Death Metal scream as if it was the most natural and easy thing to do. Perfect gutural scream. Damn, never would have thought. It sounds so out of character too. Really impressed with such performance.

I thought I heard Ike's voice before but I was never sure if he was the person I thought he might have been. When he did this stream I realized that I was a fan of Ike before Lexium and he was the person I thought he was. It's crazy how much he has grown and I'm still such a huge fan of his music.
