+Ben McKenna Hi Ben. Very observant. Yes I forgot to buy a LED bulb at Ikea and had to install an incandescent bulb I had at home to get the lamp working.

Can shade be turned upwards ?

+Hanfu Yes, you can pivot the shade to where it points straight up.
