I've just received my Trotten. To my surprise, they exhibit on their website a brownish beige colour, but actually give me a greyish beige colour... Maybe this piece of information is important for future buyers...

Cranking feature - height adjustment without power... Seems like a great feature. Worrying about the engine breaking within a few years or messing up is not worth it. I'd say either get a hand-crank desk or get some 1000 USD super-ultra electric standing desk frame.

Went to the physical store to check out the desks and this got my attention. It was just too narrow for me (this one in his video is 120cm x 70cm) but upon asking, they had a 160cm x 80cm one and that was perfect for my setup (2 monitors, 1 laptop) so I got it!! So excited to get it, I had it delivered so just waiting now.

one cable less for the table... no worries about motor problems plus Ikea gives 10 year guarantee. Also it is much much cheaper than the others.

I'm trying to decide among the bigger and smaller versions of Trotten and the electric one--Rodulf when I watched this. I must say it's really useful!!! First of all, just a glance at the layout of the things on the desk makes me determined that I need the bigger version, because I might need to put something to read below the keyboard. (I was almost going to order the smaller one, but you helped me avoid this mistake.) And I was worried whether it'll take a lot of effort to roll the handle. But it seems easier than what I have imagined. So I'm going for the big Trotten :)

Thanks for the two videos on this desktop. I was literally today in my local IKEA store, to look and find some good desktop for myself, because i have very old, rubbish and very small computer desk that i must to replace with something new, something bigger and better. And i saw in IKEA desks like this, the Trotten, also i saw the Bekant, and the Idåsen... And it is very difficult to choose which one to pick up, which one is the best, because for me very important is the full height adjust, like in the Trotten and not those desks with like only 10-15cm adjust, but also what important for me it is the stability of the desk and the max load of it, because i will put on the new desk my new 32" gaming monitor, maybe in the future will add some second monitor, also my case will sit on the desk and my case is very heavy, it is a Lian Li O11 Dynamic, with 12 fans in it, with one 360mm radiator in it, with a giant RTX 4090 and with a 1000W PSU in it... So i am worry about all this weight load that i will put on my new desktop.... I know that the Bekant is very unstable, saw it in many reviews, the Idåsen is the most stable of those three desks, but the Idåsen don't have this full height adjust like the Trotten has, and the Trotten is less stable then the Idåsen and the max load capacity is also smaller then Idåsen, i think Trotten is like 50kg and the Idåsen is 70kg.... I think that 50kg max load for desk to me is not suitable, i need some good desk with at least 70kg max load capacity. And the problem is that our IKEA in Israel, don't bring here all those desks with an electric motor/s adjusment, thats mean that the Idåsen, that is more suitable for my needs, they bring it here only with manual height adjustments, on the bottom legs, something around 10-15cm only, the same story with the Bekant... So it is why so frustrating for me to decide which best desktop to choose...

How's the table top with the monitor arm? Any compression damage? I'm looking to mount a 27" monitor, and want to know if the Trotten tabletop is worth it.

When you write on the desk, does your monitor wobble?

Is the Ikea Trotten solid and stable enough? Is the desk wobbling like Berkant? OK to mount a 34 inch monitor with the mount on the desk?

Hello I'm thinking about getting this desk, my only worry is can it handle a monitor arm with two monitors? How long have you been using your monitor arm? Are there any cracks/defects at that position?

Is the table slightly wobbling or does it mean i haven't screwed the legs to the mid frame / stem properly?
