Күн бұрынIkigai is the Japanese secret to a long and happy life. As one of the longest-living species on our planet, the Baobab tree is master of the art of ikigai. How and why has this happened, and what pointers Baobabs have for the rest of us, is the subject of this talk I gave to a group of Rotarians in Zimbabwe. It’s a rare interdisciplinary foray for me, combining elements of my love of plants with my desire to help people find fulfilment and happiness on earth.

An amazing presentation Gus!! My Baobab bonsai are doing well here in Canada, they are in year 3 from seed and the tallest one is close to two meters high! Bonsai is my Ikigai, I get up in the morning and I'm straight outside to look at my trees!

I just planted my first two baobab trees in my garden in Umwinsidale, Harare. I hope I will live long enough to see their first fruit. Did you say 80 years Gus😂
