One of the tremendously beautiful aspects of songs is, it reminds you of the memories related to it.. In 2016, when I was struggling to go to my college against my family and I was being hindered in every step through the admission process, I used to listen to this song. I felt so empowered and considered myself the "Ik Kudi" .I feared a lot as it was only my decision and I was entitled to succeed. But the days while going to my college were incomparably beautiful! It was like living my dreams. I do miss those days.

This song reminds me the year 2016 when after completing my matriculation, I went to the Patna city very far from my family for my IIT preparation. I used to listen 'Ik kudi' while solving maths question at night. Truly pleasant memory😊❤

In an interview with Rajeev Masand, Diljit mentions that he is happy being given roles that he is comfortable with and also admits to not knowing Tom Hanks. On contrast, you see him in movies such as Udta Punjab and Phillauri, you see a guy playing two different roles and fully justifying it and then thinking about the interview, it just reminds you of his striking qualities "humility" and "honesty". I would just watch his movies for the kind of person he is...

Another god sent gem from land of punjab and another adaptation where Vishal Bharadwaj has shown how he is true to movie making. And then there is Daljit.. This song bring my past to real time pain. I dedicate this song for {A} who I left behind in 2016 because he had another world of his own. I don’t know if he ever loved me. It’s been so many years but time doesn’t help heal. I guess I’ll be depressed forever. Wherever you are, be happy!
