Please react to the famous Tamil song - Sippi irukkuthu , Muthu irukuthu sung by late SPB for the movie Varumaiyin Niram Sivappu (transl. The colour of poverty is red) . This is a Tamil film written and directed by K. Balachander later remade in Hindi and Telugu. The film stars Kamal Haasan and Sridevi. Kamal Hassan plays role of an educated youth suffering from unemployment losing all of the jobs due to his straightforward nature and subsequently suffers from poverty. Sridevi is his well wisher and friend. She falls in love with him, but scared to tell him due to his straight forward nature. Kamal Hassan gets to know this and he expresses his feelings in the form of a song that he too loves her. This is that song with English subtitles. You are welcome. Singapore is the only country to have Tamil as one of the MAIN languages and also the only country to make it compulsory to learn the native language along with English. They make it mandatory to get decent grades in both English and the native tongue otherwise students cannot progress to the next level in education. They also have a radio/TV channel for Tamil apart from English/Malay/Mandarin.👍🏿

@@-_.0O சரி bro, but Singapore also has Tamil as an ethnic group for about 3 generations. In schools, it’s compulsory to learn தமிழ் if our ethnicity is Tamil. Plus, we need to get a minimum grade for each school year otherwise they make us repeat. Btw நண்பா, in all public places, the signs are written in Tamil together with other languages.

HILARIOUS! MANO was INTRODUCED by Maestro ILAYARAJA in 1985. In fact, MANO was christened by Ilayaraja, to avoid confusion with singer Nagoor Haniffa!!! He was an established singer and has sung HUNDREDS of chartbuster (and evergreen) songs with Ilayaraja 10 YEARS before 2004 Muqabla song! Get enlightened before making silly statements.

Only the genius illayaraja Sir can create such magical composition.The Singer is Mr Manoo and he sings in South Indian languages.I listen to hindi old classics,telugu songs and tamil songs,I think illayaraja Sir is the greatest of all composers in India and no one can match him.he blends traditional music with International music.His compositions have recall value and we remember it for a lifetime

It is appreciated for selecting a Raja sir's song from his concert. Actually you should watch darling darling darling, Yetho ninaivugal, Thendral vanthu ennai thodum songs for string portion as you are interested in that. Kamal Hassan would dance for that song in front of the king Amjath Khan sir, the great vilian actor in Hindi films (Sholay, Qurbani) and Dimple Kabadia in Vikram (1986). Thank you.

You had to be there. I was in second row. This is not even one of my favourite songs of his, but that day, it was electrifying. And the energy from the audience was so spectacular, so much so that the encore performance was even more spellbindingly invigorating than the first time round. The people who choose to go for a Raaja Sir concert in this day, you know they have the capacity to truly appreciate his magic. Loved the audience that night. Will never be able to experience something like that ever again. Am so grateful I was lucky enough to be a part of it.

Raja sir fans hit like to ask them to react to "Raja Kaiya Vaicha" with translated lyrics. It literally means If the king touches, it never goes wrong. But Raja meaning ilayaRAJA keeps hands (in music instrument to compose), it be never goes wrong!. Full of korky lyrics & not to mention Kamal Hassan's acting & dancing with legendary Manorama ( acts as his mom)

This is exactly what it means, making someone dance to your tune. You, did that Raja Sir. Honestly, for the first time I listened to the musical nuances of this very unique song. For the South Indian ears, it's very easy to mistake this song for a Duppan Kuthu (kind of music which lacks great musical nuances).

Every thing you hear from Raja is conceived within a span of 5 minutes and notated under half an hour each and every note. Including this. Sundari kannal oru sethi from Thalapathi is the longest he took to conceive and notate. 40 minutes. Remember he didn't conceive and notate separately. He goes in one stretch. Hence 7000 songs.
