ILIFE is has released an upgraded version of the V7S called the V7S Pro with some key upgrades that include a new and improved water tank and the ability to schedule mopping.

The MI robot vacuum was able to pick up around 68 out of the 70 grams of rolled oats and powder while the V7S did 65 out of the 70 grams (give or take a gram or so) which is pretty impressive given the power difference (400Pa vs 1,800Pa) but it took around 7 minutes longer to complete the task.
My observations: I'm pretty excited with the results of the firmware update as you can see in the video it had a more thorough navigation pattern as it went through the perimeter and inner portion of the room twice! The result is more thorough cleaning but it left powder residue but not as much as before.

For anyone who doesn't know, the xiaomi one maps the house when it runs for the first time. It had this room mapped. The ILife runs on a random algorithm where it doesn't know where it is but navigates using only real time data from sensors. Hence the price difference. The ILife robot has more price to performance ratio. Also, I own it and use it in our 3BHK house and works well enough. If you're planning to buy one, as per your budget first decide if you want/need one that maps your house(takes less time to clean but do you care if you're away and it is scheduled??? i wouldn't care if it took half an hour more lul). These ones will be expensive. If you go for one that doesn't have apps nor mapping but does it's job, you'll be saving yourself a few bucks. Hope this helps...

I have ILIFE V7S and I like it very much since it is much cheaper. I bought 160 at that time and runs non stop for 3.5-4 hours. It cleans the entire house. I first bought the Roomba 690 and I return it since it cannot get out of my chair when it enters the inner of the four legs of my chair. ILIFE is smart enough to get out of the chair, easily.

Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.

Good attempt at a proper real-life trial between thr wo vacs. Well done. One small point though. Your weighing would have been more accurate if you has simply weighed the empty bins first then full after the test.

Is depends on the motion select as well, you may select same motion for both robot. The iLife motion select is random while the mi is regular motion

I think Mi's problem is that it only passes once over each spot. Did you use standard suction or max power? Also, recently Xiaomi has added the remote control functions and spot cleaning to the app (last few updates), which should partly fix the problem.

you have to power off the station of the v7s because of the big radius sendig by the ir sender. it seem the v7s drives in a bigger radius around the station. thats why there are so many oats around the station have been left.

The Xiaomi migth have the best navigation, but the iLife seems to clean alot better due to the included mop feature.

But the V7S also wipes the floor, and it costs MUCH less! about 5 months with it and very happy. Yes, it's not the smartest one but it does the job and also wipes the floor.

roomba does the same chaotic dance and cleans pretty well. if he let the v7s finish it would have picked up more stuff. and as you said the white residue was pretty much gone, xiaomi left a lot of it

On top of that the V7S has a spot clean feature, where you can put the vaccum in the middle of a spillage and it will create a circle around it getting bigger and then smaller again. It would probably do a great job with the spot clean feature. Then just add water and tidy any residue.

A fair test is one where you let the robots run for the same amount of time. If the V7S needs three times as long, you just start the Xiomi 3 times (and you probably get a much better result). However, the Xiomi also has a spot cleaning function

Yo tmb tengo un iLife y me gusta como va para lo que me gasté, la mia es sencilla, nada de mapeos ni complicaciones.. y ese hombre le puso otro programa diferente de limpieza a las dos aspiradoras.. así cualquiera.. la primera hizo bordes e interior (no se como se llama) y a la iLife no le puso ese programa.. tengo una iLife v8Plus y solo la uso para aspirar.. y ahí sigue .. mi primera aspiradora y contenta. No tengo animales. Suelo madera, y baldosa en cocina y baño y dos alfombras finas sin problema. Ahora ando buscando una para mi ama que haga alfombras con flecos, la mía se engancha y da error o cambia de dirección y no sigue el recorrido bien.. asiq necesitará una todoterreno jajajaja

It does not have any sort of slot that you can connect your computer to so I don't think you can do any sort of re-programming.

Robot vacuums are designed to vacuum in between cleaning. Not to clean up a whole construction yard. For in between cleaning this is more than good enough

I have iLife V7s for half year. its not bad machine. Recently it has failed to work. I guess the water may get inside the machine when I used mopping. I have google iLife V7s faulty. It seems a common problem for the machine. I have open the vacuum and I found out the IC board is not isolated very well. so water can get inside very easy. so beware of that when mopping if the machine stop the water keep dripping out from the container it may cause problem.

If you're not careful when attaching the mop it could be an issue since it will drip that's why I mentioned in the other videos that you have to plug the holds when attaching the mop. GearBest says that the newer V7S Pro solves this issue but I will have to test it to find out.

I bought the iLife V55 Pro instead of the iLife 7. The reason being is that i like the path zigzag better than the random ones. That is for time efficiency as well. I was torn between V55PRO vs V8S. I really like the V8s because of its tank capacity however I'm too concerned about the motors being in the tank. That's kinda prone to damage. I'll be getting the Xiaomi Gen2 or higher version by the end of the year. For now, hoping that the V55PRO will do its job and last longer.

ive bought myself an ilife v5s pro because i needed a robot for vacuum at least. since i saw it can mop aswell, i was happy, especially since it was... idk... 145 dollars? sure, it is running "randomly" but who cares? for vacuuming ill let it run itself till it needs to recharge why should i care how many turns it takes or how much time it takes? as long as it takes at least 85% of the dust/dirt/whatver it doesnt matter since its doing his job automatically and is fairly silent (which imo is the point of getting a robot for such a task). ofc, i do like the "routing system" the xiaomi has and its quite fast, but i certainly dislike 2 major points of this, imo overpriced robot: 1. it has only 1 brush ( i dont get it, why do they switch from double brush to a one sided brush system?) 2. it doesnt mop the floor (since im a student, i personally dislike the price, but it doesnt have to be a reason for other people)

I bought ILIFE V5s Vacuum Cleaner last month & it started working intermittently, had a feel that it will be dead in next few weeks. As mentioned, customer care of ILife is useless & don’t respond. Even checked with amazon, they also sound helpless.

I have not tested it but in theory when you carry the robot to a spot what it does is scan the room, map out the best cleaning path and if the charging base is on the same level the robot will find it.

U better measure weight of the dust container before and after cleaning, than taking out the dust.. Also how we know we put same portion of oats on the floor between 2 robot Make it fforward when do cleaning. No one will watch that for long time Good video btw..cheers

The noob guy calls his channel Cordless Vacuum Guide. The name suggests that the channel is specialized in vacuum cleaners but still can't give the iLife vacuum cleaner the full time to do its work. Personally I felt that the iLife vacuum cleaner cleaned better.

Same happened to me , mi Xiaomi vacuum mop P ,just lasted 1 year and 4 months , it was sent to reparation and they told me that was a mother board problem but they had not pieces to fix it .

Xiaomi does the better job and have a absolutely perfect navigation!!!When you make a test like this.... you have to run both of them the same time!!!not a good compare when Xiaomi runs 9 minutes and the I life 7 runs 16 minutes!For sure the result is good for both of them but when you run the I life 7 only for 9 minutesit pick up much less than xiaomi...thats the point!!!

only problem is that sure it "finished" the job quicker, but if you gave the ilife more time it would surley do a better job. as no matter how long the mi had it couldnt suck up the small dust particles

Daniel Baertschi why? Are you I'm hurrry to clean your floor? Because eif you are, chances are you mop it yourself or vacuum it yourself. Most people let the robot vacuum work while they are out of the house or busy at other stuff so time doesn't really matter. Besides, if you want to test how accurate they are cleaning, you have you take into the account the whole cleaning cycle and let it finished. Would it be a good comparison between let's say washing machines if you interrupyed the washing cycle of one once the other had finished? I think not. Bottom.line, the floor got cleaned better with the iLife crappy robot. Deal with it.

Ive had both dumb robots that move randomly like the iLife as well as a Xiaomi (which i currently use), and theres no comparison. This test is in a very small space and doesnt reflect on the ability to clean multiple rooms. Put the dumb robot in any practically sized space, and i let my robots into only about 60sqm of my space, and it is terrible for overall coverage. I would be at home when it runs, and it could spend 3/4 of its cleaning time stuck in the kitchen, bouncing between the walls. How much of my floor it would cover is up to pure dumb luck. Robots that can map your floors are exponentially better.

Seems you did a poor job spilling the stuff from the bin after carefully weighing the amount used and the xiaomi left a mess after the job was done while the iLife would have done a thorough job if allowed to continue longer. At least it did not leave a mess

they both leave residue. with a manual vacuum you can clean this in 3 min and it will be completely clean. i dont think this technology is quite there yet.

They drive and vacuum every day and you dont have baby-powder and wheat on the floor every day. They clean the everyday dust very well, so you can skip some of your manual vac sessions.

did you not see the powder etc that got left over and was brushed away.... nice try guys....and as long as it actually cleans up the area who cares if it took 10 min or 15 min as long as it is clean... again ... nice try on the shell game...

Your test kind of suck, because you should have leave the Ilife V7s finish its job. I will personally give the V7s the winner due to the FAQs that it able to clean/pick up the powder event this robot vacuum seems creasy and it took so much time to finish.

I bought both brand. Xiaomi always got problem. Message ask to clean the filter. After wash, clean, vacuum and dry the filter. Still come out ' error! error!. Really stress.😴😴😴 Life brand more better then xiaomi.

I guess, that xiaomi will do a much better work in real life. In this example, Ilife had a small room to clean, so by bumping around it was able to clean it rather good in just 2x slower. But if you would open that door, it won't randomly clean this mess, it would just go to there places, whereas as the xiaomi would clean it and come back to charging, without making you do anything, and I'm not saying about all the corners and walls, where Ilife would not clean at all. To tell the truth, I would rather no to buy a vacuum cleaner robot at all, then spending 150 bucks on this thing
