సినిమా లని ఇలా కూడా తియ్యొచ్చా అనిపిస్తుంటుంది. ప్రతీ ఫ్రేమ్ లో ప్రాణం ఉండే సినిమా లు ఎప్పుడొగాని రావు. ఇళయరాజా గారు పుట్టకపోతే దేవతల దగ్గర మాత్రమే ఉన్న అమృతం మనకి దొరికేదే కాదు.

I can't even tell you how many times I have seen this clip. In fact this movie has grown on me with time. A single movie like this is enough to inspire artists for generations. The interesting thing is I still can't tell who deserves the most credit - the director, music director or the lead actors. Every thing seems to have fallen in place just like that. This is a timeless masterpiece.

Watching this movie after such a long time, I cried like a child. When Balu rejected the offer of her husband, I was cross with him. Sometimes I think what is the point of this movie. Ofcourse unselfish love of Balu. No award need to be bestowed. This is an art in story telling. In real life this story won't happen. This love is not for mere mortals. It is heavenly. Not for earth. Even the Jayapradhas eyelashes deserve an Oscar.

I like this movie very much. Because of the Excellent Acting from Excellent Actor Mr.Kamalhasan, is a uncomparable actor in india/world. Even though he is from tamilnadu and he is speaking in Telugu fluently.. he is the first actor in india acted in all major languages and spoken in all language in his own voice. Great telent. Also Ilayaraja is god of music...

One of the greatest movie of all time the actors lived the respective characters, easily Mr.Kamalhasan best performance and Mrs.Jayapratha was so beautiful in this movie as her acting. But the real hero of the movie is god of music Ilayaraja sir very very very very great BGM of all time no words to describe just want to wash his feet with my tears. Firstly, the santoor from 0:14 takes on a celestial flight. You can feel as if you are just floating admist the cloud of melody, followed by the violin. Later, the entire section from 1.29 catches you by surprise and before you realise, you are already transported into a world of divine bliss. Long live IR!!!

నటీనటుల హావభావాలు పండాలి అంటే సన్నివేశానికి నైపద్యసంగీతం ఎంతో కీలకం. ఇళయరాజా సంగీతం ఈ చిత్రానికి ప్రాణం పోసింది. విశ్వనాధ్ గారి శంకరాభరణం సాగరసంగమం చిత్రాలు తెలుగు సినీ ఖ్యాతిని ఖండాంతరాలు దాటేలా చేసాయి అనడంలో అతిశయోక్తి లేదు. ఈ చిత్రంలో దాదాపు అన్ని మనసుకి హత్తుకునే సన్నివేశాలే. నిత్య జీవితంలో ఇలాంటి కథలు పాత్రల రూపసంగమం ఈ సాగర సంగమం. ప్రఖ్యాత బెంగాలీ దర్శకుడు సత్యజిత్ రే జయప్రదను ఇండియన్ మోనలిసా గా అభివర్ణించారు.
