It’s funny you making a joke about teens not having moving to stay at the place. At the time this was made it was still the height of teens having disposable income and being targeted for it. It’s why they made all those remakes of the Cinderella story in movies like “she’s all that” and it’s the reason the pg-13 label over took R for the top grossing rating and way R became the new X rating for studios trying to avoid getting like the plague. It’s still affecting us to this day.

Oh totally, the post-Scream slasher revival is definitely something Vanessa and myself (Chris) remember vividly! Thankfully more hard R-rated horror exists now but it was quite the draught for a long time. O_O

@@mdt5k I don’t know old you all are but I remember missing that lack of a R rating for so many movies having grown up with the sometimes nightmare fueled world of 80’s pg movies we wanted the gore denied us our approaching adulthood. Hence the movement of not giving the movie over to be rated (also sometimes cause it was just bad) and then touting the unrated ness of its fare to our demographic. Granted I am one of the people my age to know what the difference between the color system given to trailers meant….and that it meant something at all. Love your stuff as always and thank you for what seems like punching up in joke age ranges lol makes me feel not That old

Also If we aren't around in a few months / years... with everything going on... We finally are invading Iran after like 50 is years? Kennedy was the first to say No to the military industrial complex... so that was in the 70's! Enjoy that rabbit hole. But y'all are cool for playing this game, nostalgia.
