10 years ago I went onto job seekers temporarily and one evening my neighbours asked me to babysit their kid for the night and in exchange I come over the following day for a roast dinner. I lived alone so a roast sounded great. Following Tuesday I was called in to the job centre to explain my “working”. I kid you not, I was sanctioned. I got something like £37 a fortnight. My 4 hours “work” they estimated I earned over £100. 😂 I had no money for 3 weeks after that. So you don’t even need to be working if you’re English born and bred. They just sanction you for made up reasons. Another time I had to cycle 10 miles in the pouring rain. I arrived wetter than the ocean and 2 minutes late. I was struck off and had to re-apply. 6 weeks no money that time.

The home office process and the European human rights laws have been putting a choke hold on many deportations sadly, then caseload is too big etc that everything is a delay. Canada on avg does upto 4 months, UK between 1-3 years depending on how complex your case is.
