This isn't his usual style but hes branching out to other genres. Which means his talents wont go to waste once he ages and isn't looked upon by the EDM community. Dude's got too much talent to be forgotten. Looking forward to more releases. I hope to be able to hold a candle to how much he's helped me in my mental struggles and wish to do the same for others with my music.

@@jonathenlee5881 Not exactly, his deep roots when he first started was dubstep, he has a bunch of old remixes. Then he switched towards melodic dubstep, then future bass/drum&bass. He's said in an interview that once he switched towards softer and more melodic stuff, thats when he felt like that was his calling

Some people don't like seeing what would be considered an EDM artist making mainstream or pop songs like this one. Personally I don't like any of the sounds coming from this and would not be able to tell it apart from something I might hear on the radio. Some people may enjoy it but to alot of EDM fans this is no different than a Chainsmokers or Marshmallo song. But even those at least have some heavier bass notes. I came here from the Kloud remix and was very disappointed. In my opinon, he did more justice to the song and added more emotion than this. Just my thoughts.

Illenium was never a hard hitting EDM artist his music was always about the emotional feelings you get from his melodies and chords. you clearly never liked Illenium otherwise you would have known he isnt known for his "heavy bass notes"

My girlfriend had just moved to NYC to pursue her dreams. I was terrified we wouldn't be able to make our relationship continue to work. We had a lot of issues. Mostly me and my trust issues because of past relationships, being cheated on. We struggled. This song came out at that time...and it was healing. When I hear this song, it reminds me of the love and the bond between two best friends...two lovers. That there are people you can trust in this World that will never harm you. If you truly love someone, the miles don't matter. Every time I hear this, it convinces me that love is achievable. And it is the greatest feeling in the World. And there is nothing not worth sacrificing for it. There is no greater aspiration in life than to have love in our lives.

I fell in love with this animation instantly! I read somewhere that when a phoenix is about to die, it goes to the temple of the Sun god, and rebirth there as well. Seeing the barren land of the Gods, gives me a sense of melancholy and a heavy feeling of loneliness.

The Phoenix might be himself in inspiration feelings or dreams.. The first times i listened to this, it got me goosepumps and my mind is stunning happiness, it is insane like i'M in a trippy dream of beautiful future, inspire, and motivations,... it was borned at the moment when a memorable year has just passed and a new year comes. i listened to it and noticed more with the lyrics, it got me sadder and sadder.

You know that you'll meet her/him the other day anyway but you both just keep hugging each other, and it feels like the time has just stopped forever. And now this feeling got translated into music. Most operating systems have a dedicated Music folder for each user. So it makes no sense to have a Music folder in your Documents folder. :)
