Wow that was incredible! So many people were saying that this album didn't tell a story like the trilogy did, but boy does this prove them wrong and show how personal this album really is to Nick. I have such a deeper appreciation for this album now. This solidified this album being my favorite Illenium album yet

"Trees that burned but did not die" This makes me a little emotional cause it brings back the memory of the hard time, only myself with Ashes album as companion. Those songs have a special place in my heart.

They have their own cinematic universe. I just hope people watching don't miss the incredible meaning behind this amazing story and art, both illustrative and musical in nature.

Incredible film. I did not know a lot about Nick aka Illenium until around the middle of last year. His music is truly beautiful and evokes an emotion that I can't express through words, it's just beautiful. In my interpretation, the movie does show Nicks struggle with addiction but there are other elements like love, passion and purpose. Before Nick discovered his true purpose he was addicted to "the substance", it wasn't until he met that woman that he discovered a purpose that filled him with passion and he overcame his struggles. I think the element of love fuels his passion as love is all about showing passion to your partner. Ultimately, the message I got was that throughout life you will encounter struggles and at times you cannot always face problems on your own, whether it be friends, family or finding a partner, they will help you discover parts of yourself you would not of found on your own, leading to a more fulfilled life. Great story.

The thing with Substance Abuse is that we tend to see it as the person’s fault just because they are the ones who have consumed the drug. But we fail to see that perhaps it is the society that has failed the person in not providing a system, environment, and home that is more full in meaning and purpose. The opposite of addiction is not sobriety, it’s connection.

This album is phenomenal! Love getting a video like this to get a better understanding of the inspiration behind it.

One of the best animated short films ive ever seen. Beautiful animation, coupled with a sad but beautiful story with a soundtrack that takes your breath away. I got so much shivers the first time i saw this. I wish i can watch this like its the first time ive seen it.
