I’m from Texas and played high school football in Texas and yes for everyone wondering about it who live in a different state about Texas football it is extremely competitive and they take it very very seriously. Most head coaches are athletic directors and make over $100k plus a year with stipends on top of that. But i gotta give Atascocita credit where it’s due they put an ass whooping on a very talented East St. Louis team from Illinois who aren’t scared to play anybody in the country even if it’s schools like Mater Dei or John Bosco Prep. But this game just shows how good Texas football is and how they have great coaches.

I’ve heard of East St Louis up there. Thought they was gone be a little test for Atascosita. Probably won’t run into much until that North Shore game next month which should be one of the top games in the state that week.

If Texas public schools were allowed to recruit top talent like certain out-of-state private schools, then they'd be in trouble on the field. 💯🏈

Few days ago I saw on another post where someone said the Flyers, Kahuku Hawaii, and Chaminade Madonna Florida could go tow to toe with DUNCANVILLE. I don't live texas and responded Chaminade could hang but the other two had no chance that DUNCANVILLE was as big but faster and you can't compare Illinois football to Texas. They retorted I was clueless. I returned too bad none of them play each other to prove one of us wrong. THANKS ATASCOCITA!

I think that Atascocita would've benefited more if they'd played either Mater Dei, St. John Bosco, IMG, Miami Central, Bishop Gorman, St Francis Academy or Chaminade instead.

At 22 to 13 we missed that INT on the Atascocita 20....that was the big turning point of this game. I think we came out too early full equipment doing all out warmups. The kids were drained in 1st quarter. Atascocita got some weapons but we def made 3 crucial mistakes all on 4th down. 2 missed INTs and 15 yard penalty by the safety on the big stip which all 3 of those mistakes they scored on. Who moved the game up to 6 but all other games were moved out to 8pm?!?! Yall lousy for that lol.

You have the athletes but against a team like Atascosita you need capitalize and play nearly perfect. Props to East St L for taking this tough road game. Good luck this year.

Texas football is just different. We were practicing college schemes as freshmen. Atascocita is a good-average Texas team. They don't wanna see North Shore or Duncanville 😂

@BobbyJackson-up7gb no doubt they'd get beat too. For context I'm not a Texan and never lived there but I know no team in Michigan is going to win state in Texas. East St Louis got blown out by a team that's good but won't win it. Atascocita beat them 43 - 13. Northshore beat Atascocita 61 - 35 .Northshore, DUNCANVILLE, Desoto, South Oak cliff a number of teams there are on or above their level. This week is round 3 of Texas 6a playoffs with 3 more after that Atascocita might make it to round 4 but that might be it . King And East St Louis would be lucky to get past round 2 let alone round 1.

I believe the #1 player in the country is at Lee's Summit North and the number 9 player is at some school in STL so We got two top 10 players. I believe Georgia and Texas have two also and Florida has the rest I believe

They might have a chance this year. They have an outstanding offense but their defense need work.

Yeah Northshore defense is a base 4-3 so if they can utilize short route throws it'll work really well for them since Northshore uses strength calls to bring one safety down leaving one deep in zone.

Also Northshore has barely started to use passing as a form of offense since they relied so heavily on run strength. If they could use zone coverage to lock down the center of the field because we use a lot of center field routes then they'd be in good shape

Huh? North shore is very balanced on offense since kay was hired as the HC. Bailey is an excellent passer.
