To anyone who is upset at the people in these videos that don't help, I'd just like to say that you shouldn't judge them. You see, we know TreeMan means well and that it's just a social experiment, but the people on the streets being filmed don't know that. This world can be a scary place because there are 'bad' people who try and take advantage of you, it's important to also stay cautious. Now, obviously this isn't always the case as TreeMan's videos show that but you never know 😟

I'm sure there are still people with good hearts in the world...

I know many of the one's who refused to read it may seem to be lacking empathy and all that but please consider this. Yes the man seems desperate and deserves help but there's also that possibility you have to be the one reading bad news, watching an old man breaking down in tears and going through despair to the point where you wouldn't know what to do and feel very uncomfortable in the situation. It's not to this extreme but just imagine if you're the one who has to tell the people that their husband/wife/mother/father/boyfriend/girlfriend/brother/sister/uncle/auntie etc has passed away. Some people just don't have the courage or feel the confidence to break the news to someone. I do think it's best to obviously help read it for the man but i can also understand if someone doesn't feel comfortable in fear that the report is some very bad news that they would have to deliver then try to console the poor old man. Subsequently if this is the reason i don't blame them for informing him to ask someone else. Just think about it if it was about his love one who is most likely going to be paralyzed, in a coma etc and the old person ask "but she still has a chance right? Infact she'll be alright right? She will make a full recovery right?", at this point saying you don't know will be very difficult and you may feel bad he will continue to be upset, saying other things like she will be fine I'm sure to comfort him may be giving false hope to the point you'll feel horrible if that doesn't happen. It's just another perspective to look into this. Not everyone is brave enough to try and console someone who may be facing an extremely bad situation.
