Does anyone else think about how lucky we are that we're able to watch a master at work, in the comfort of our own homes, for free? I see it as such a privilege to be able to learn from someone who's clearly a master at her craft, a true professional. I love Lisa (in a non-creepy way lol)

You have been my idol for many years. I remember emailing you about 7 years ago about becoming a make up artist. I completely fangirled when you wrote back to me, your advice really gave me the confidence to go after my dream. After studying make up, freelancing ,working at MAC and currently working at YSL; I am now studying a Level 5 Teaching Diploma with the hope of becoming make up trainer. I know I shouldn't be surprised because you are a professional but your looks are the only looks I'm confident in trying because of how universal they are! Detailed explanation in the techniques that you use instead of focusing on the color choices makes it easier for me to learn even though my skin is darker than yours and even the shape of my face is completely different!

The delicacy of this makeup and making it look like real skin is so refreshing. This is what separates Lisa from the rest. Lisa, I have a big dark sunspot on the center of my check and have been trying for years to cover it, but still get that natural glow and you have just solved all my problems! I never thought to add cream blush to my concealer. I just tried this out and my sunspot is undetectable! you don't know how giddy this makes me! thank you so so much!

When I watch other people do their makeup I feel like they're kind of following a series of specific KZfaq makeup steps, with specific products and techniques. Watching Lisa do her thing is liberating and refreshing in a way. Lisa and Wayne Goss don't do the really loud YT type makeup I see sometimes, but I feel like it inspires me more and makes me more excited to play with the makeup I have. It's a matter of preference, of course. Plus, she has the most relaxing voice. I have some rough times with anxiety, and I'll play her uploads playlist to soothe my mind and heart rate.

I absolutely ADORE this type of skin!!! I cannot get enough of the illuminated, dewy skin look! Years and years ago, I used to love super full flat matte coverage foundation and now I favor the barely there dewy coverage that shows radiance and looks healthy and illuminated. The more dewy and illuminated the better. Probably has something to do with me turning 40 next month :P LOL!

One of my faves is the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder. And if its not enough coverage for you, you can simply add a few dots of one of your more fuller coverage foundations to it when you have it on the back of your hand and mix it in. My fave to mix into it is Nars Sheer Glow, I literally add 1-2 dots, less than 1/2 a pump. As long as the mixture is more of the Charlotte Tilbury to whatever you are adding to it, then it will maintain its dewiness. I also use the Becca Backlight Priming Filter underneath my makeup, and the beautiful radiance that it brings thru my makeup is heavenly. If you are on a budget the Milani Strobing Pore Perfecting Primer is a great alternative. It doesn't have any pore minimization effects but it does give you a beautiful golden glow that radiates thru your makeup. And last but not least a fabulous drugstore option for a dewy foundation that is one of my holy grails as well is the LA Girl HD Foundation. Its only around $8 but I would gladly pay $50 for it! Its what I use when I'm not using the Charlotte Tilbury.

Riza hariati This light and background are perfect! In a time where so many are using filter cameras and SO bright light where you can't see anything except white, this is so refreshing and much more natural and educational. This is proof that great makeup is in the BLENDING. Too many KZfaq beauty gurus use too literal a hand and eye, which results in all these heavy, mask-like Instaglam looks that are everywhere now.

I love how you don't edit out lots of the process, I've always had trouble with patchiness in my foundation & I think your video gets across the important detail that layering little by little and blending is key! You show us how long realistically it takes to perfect a beautiful base. Loved this video as always!
