What's that old saying? Oh yeah, "If your profile picture is from an anime, your opinion doesn't count." LOL. I'm just kidding, your opinion *does* count but it is just wrong. Financially it will do well but it won't be in the Top 3 all-time. And critically it will have slightly better-than-average ratings. The reasons for *good-not-great* box office and critical reception will be the same: 75% of people paying to see super hero movies are not geeky kids (and I don't use the word "geek" as a pejorative; I consider myself a geeky adult). Most moviegoers are families: moms and dads taking their kids to the movies. Phase I and II did well because moms and dads had no problem wrapping their brains around a story about a World War II supersoldier thawed out in the 21st Century; that's easy enough to follow. Or a strong, green irradiated guy. Or a kid with spider abilities. So many adults gave thumbs up and went back more than once to see those movies. But the MCU is making the same fatal flaw that DC comics did after Crisis on Infinite Earths and what Marvel did after Infinity Gauntlet. They're saying to themselves, "Where do we go from here? Let's go bigger! More complex! First we threatened the planet, then the galaxy, then the universe...now let's threaten *multiple universes* ." At some point audiences feel like stakes don't really mean anything anymore and they get fatigued. And they don't care about Steve Rogers or Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne because there are so many variants of them that you forget who *your* Captain America or Iron Man or Batman was. For cripes sakes, in What If?, Ultron had an attack where he took a bite out of a galaxy. A...bite...out...of...a...galaxy. Everyone I know laughed at that. No one said, "OMG. HE'S SO SINISTER AND POWERFUL!" The last Spider-Man flick did well because 1) it was the first big pandemic-era flick worth seeing and 2) despite the multiverse angle it was still a "small story": Spidey vs. Sinister Six while Strange's storyline was just a subplot dealing with the galactic consequences. Marvel...time to do "small stories" again.

IMDB is not a reliable source for casting pre-release for movies, unless it's confirmed by the studio or director, etc. They latch onto rumors just like the rest of the internet... now, that being said... it's obviously Patrick Stewart's voice, but don't trust anything online until it's confirmed, or you see the movie.

In my mind, there is a difference between light speculation on what we see in a Marvel trailer and showing rendered images allegedly from a Marvel source. Both before viewing the actual movies are speculations but different levels. As I said, I want to experience this movie as Marvel intended, that means watching trailers they put out for PR. To some people, that is too much spoiling. It all comes down to the individual.

He has so much confidence in his plan that he will hold off key details so thst not to spoil or sabotage your entertainment. His goal is to provide the best possible entertainment within reason. When showing up for the movie, I want to feel shock and awe.

I mean he could be both a descendant of Tony and Reed… Tony only had a daughter, Morgan, so now the Stark family name is basically dead. And then perhaps Morgan marries the son of Reed who I believe is called Franklin Richards in the comics, thus passing down the Richards family name. And then furthermore, Franklin Richards could end up marrying a black woman and having Nathaniel Richards (Kang), thus explaining why Kang is now black. But ultimately Kang would have the Richards family name while still being a descendant of both Tony and Reed.

I mean, part of the theme of the Illuminati was always that even the smartest brains in the comic book universe do not make the best choices and dont have any real moral authority to make choices In secret for everyone else, leading to a great deal of conflict. The Illuminati also seem to have a sort of antagonist role in this story, a group of "heroes" or leaders of heroes drunk w power who enforce their will, perhaps for a greater good, but not necessarily in a good way. I dunno if Reed Richards will be integral even if he does cameo. They probably wouldnt want to introduce him to the MCU as an antagonistic variant on a council of super-fascists.

While I’m a fan of the Illuminati and loved their changing roster and ambitious story arc in Hickman’s multi-title road to secret wars, the most absolutely prominent theme with them is- ultimate hubris of the highest order. They actually believe that because they are some of the greatest minds, and leaders of the most powerful nations/races/species that no one could possibly know better than them. Yet, From the day they formed they have basically done nothing but screw up, sometimes fantastically so. After founding the group in the wake of the Kree-Skrull war, against the advice of T’Challa who believed the idea of an all powerful cabal to be tyrannical, their first order of business was to pay the Skrulls a visit on their home-world and threaten them in regards to Earth. The Skrulls then promptly captured them, imprisoned them, dissected, studied and catalogued everything about them from genetics and powers to the contents of their minds. This gave the Skrulls the ability to avoid all detection thanks to the intel in Reeds mind, they learned everything about the earths cultures, power structures and defenses, and also learned the genetic secrets of all the various super humans of earth, be it mutates, mutants, inhumans, Atlanteans, etc. Then, they returned the Illuminati with no recollection of what had occurred, but not before replacing a few of them with perfect Skrull impostors(Black Bolt, Reed). The Illuminati’s first mission directly caused the skrull Secret Invasion which resulted in many deaths, kidnappings, Wasp being lost in the microverse, the fall of shield, and the rise of Osborn and his villainous Cabal and Dark Avengers which ushered in the Dark Reign bringing until levels of crime, death, an orchestrated false flag attack the murdered an entire football stadium of people, and the fall of Asgard. Next they decided to secretly collect all the infinity stones without consulting anyone. When they succeeded in collecting all six physical manifestations of the building blocks of the universe they immediately decided to try and destroy them, without even considering the possible implications. When that failed, the just decided it would be best to divvy them up and have each member take them home and hide them under their mattresses. Which obviously eventually led to a villain finding and stealing them, and when that crisis was narrowly avoided and Tony was asked by all Avengers to get rid of them, he lied, said he did and divvied them up again. Next they had the bright idea to track down and attempt to banish or subdue the beyonder somehow, and while this was sort of a dud, and resulted in no harm, once again they didn’t even consider the consequences of haphazardly antagonizing and threatening an all powerful sentient and living cosmic cube. Then they decided release the all powerful and all cray sentry on the world, after he had basically erased himself from reality of his own volition due to his ridiculous power levels, evil alter persona, and utter mental instability. Then they tricked the Hulk into a spaceship, lied to him, and banished him from earth against his will by shooting him across the universe and into a black hole which landed him on the most horribly inhospitable planet ever(which the illuminait promised with be a peaceful paradise). Then after struggling to survive, and eventually falling in love and starting a family, the Illuminati then inadvertently murdered hulls wife and nearly his unborn son, and destabilized the planet. The planet eventually died, Hulk’s son grew up to hate his father, and Hulk returned to Earth hellbent in destroying the planet. But hey! They were able to use that wonderful Sentry feller to stop Hulk in an explosive battle that basically leveled New York! Years later they reconvened after discovering the incursions of other earths, and immediately decided to assemble the infinity gauntlet. But first that had to figure out where that ornery, senile old Professor X his the mind stone before he was eye-beamed to death. Thankfully the furry blue cat man, who was now a furry blue Sasquatch, was able to hunt it down, earning him a spot in the super secret club! No questions asked! Now, to find someone with the power and capability needed to wield the gauntlet. Let’s see you’ve got Black Bolt, Namor, possibly Dr. Strange… oh wait, who’s that they chose? Captain America? Interesting 🤨. Cap then straps on the glove, struggles immensely with the power and the stones’ connection to his mind, barely pulls himself together, and by the skin of his teeth pushes back the encroaching universe and stops the incursion. Then, in one final demonstration of omnipotent godlike power, Cap summons limitless might of ineptitude and promptly used it to absolutely obliterate the gauntlet and 5 out of 6 stones, destroying their only proven weapon against the incursions. Oh, what happened to that other universe they just shot their power glove at? Well, they missed the part where that’s their problem. They return to the Illuminati locker room to celebrate another Illuminati style victory, but some of them are upset of Cap breaking their cool toy. Cap then opens a can of moral superiority and tells them it’s all their fault the gauntlet is gone, and furthermore he doesn’t like their attitude, and he thinks they’re all very bad men and their decision to kill other worlds to save universes is also very very bad! To which they respond, that he needs to watch his tone, that they only let him into their super secret club to be nice and how dare he question their big brains and positions of superhuman leadership! Cap continue to whine, so the gang instructs Dr. Strange to stick a magic finger in Cap’s brain, scramble things up and send him on his way. Now they can really get to work, calling up Black Bolts insane brother to help them mass produce a bunch of planet killing anti matter bombs!

If there's ever such a thing like Iron Lad in MCU then he'll probably appear in the Armor Wars D+ series, which will be released next year or in 2024.

I tend to agree. This might be our only time to see the illuminati exactly like the comic books since Stark is dead in the main MCU. Feige, being a huge comic book fan will want to give the fans what they want this one time. Look at No Way Home. Even if we never see all 3 Spider-Men together again we got it that one time. (BTW, I think we'll see them all together again because the actors all enjoyed it so much.🤞🏻) Either way, this movie is going to be incredible!

@@CityPlannerPlaysChair I think the last one is quite possible. If you compare the 2 Madness trailers, in the first one Strange asked Wanda: ‘what do you know about the Multiverse?’. There it was a beautiful forest. In the second trailer at the end, Strange was wearing same casual jacket and asks her the same, but she was wearing her Scarlett Witch crown and said: ‘when I do it I become the enemy’. So I think it played off in hear mind.

If you don't know who Black Bolt, Prof x, capt America, iron man, reed Richards, and Namor are by now... Regardless, I don't think they'll use the same people that are in the comics. The New Panther is said to be on the illuminati in the movie, as well as a Kang Variant, and a "good" ultron. Even Superior Iron man is rumored to be in this illuminati group.
