Watching these speedruns of old games brings back so many memories of games I rented, played, and forgot about. It makes me wonder how many games I played as a kid that I don't remember. Mostly the SNES era.

Bowie is on fire these days, running lots of games and full of info from other games too, not only that, his damm good at it.

I could play this game a million times and never get bored. I wish Quintet was still around, their odd, janky games always held my interest better than the Final Fantasies from the same time period.

I remember wanting the poster and shirt so bad when I was younger, and I loved playing it so much. The game also gave me my first experience with existential fear :^)

Quintet's games had this unique brand of melancholia that's never been quite imitated.

@@vaiyt They really did, even their one game that was literally named Slapstick (the JP title for Robotrek) had a couple of heavy moments in the late game and Terranigma's ending just makes me bawl like a baby every single time I get to it. Also E.V.O. is the evolution game Spore wishes it was half as good as.

I played the first half of this game so many times as a kid, but I could never get past Mu. I need to go back and finish. Definitely one of my white whales.
