Crypto in general is halah to buy, sell or keep as an asset, but for binance (or any other exchange) only spot trading is halal, so margin trading, futures, staking, defi staking, earn services, loans, dual investments, borrowing ALL are Haram, and binance in particular even for normal staking gives you the rewards

All assets in world are speculative in nature. The concept of assets have changed in the modern world. Its not the physical nature but your virtual buying power that matters. Digital wallets like easypaisa are case in point. We need to do Ijtehad after studying the new form of Internet economy. I fully agree with the suppressive rental models.

1. Question: (Futures/ Forward Contracts) i) Two individuals, A and B enter into a contract on 1st January, 1996 under which A would sell a stock of company X at a price of $100 to B after an expiry of six months. B has an obligation to purchase at this price irrespective of the market price on 30th June 1996. Is this contract permissible in Shariah? ii) Can this contract or the rights and obligations of A and B be transferred by either of them to a third party C? iii) If the object of transaction is any commodity, or gold, silver or currency and not stocks, as in the case above, in what way is the validity or otherwise of the contract affected? It may be noted that the non- transferability of rights and obligations severely limits the possibility of speculation on Futures Exchanges. A commonly held belief is that Futures contracts are prohibited when they are used for speculation. Does this imply that Futures contracts are permissible when these are used for hedging? Comments by Mufti Taqi Usmani: i) This is an example of a Futures transaction. The Futures transaction as in vogue in stock and commodities markets today are not permissible for two reasons. Firstly, it is a well recognised principle of the Shariah that sale or purchase cannot be affected for a future date. Therefore, all Forward and Futures transactions are invalid in Shariah. Secondly because in most of the Futures transactions, delivery of the commodities or their possession is not intended. In most cases, the transactions end up with the settlements of difference of prices only, which is not allowed in the Shariah. ii) As Futures are not permissible, no rights or obligations can emanate therefrom. Therefore the question of transfer- ring these rights and obligations does not arise. International Journal of Islamic Financial Services Vol. 1 No.1 iii) Futures transactions as explained above, are totally impermissible regardless of their subject matter. Similarly, it makes no difference whether these contracts are entered into for the purpose of speculation or for the purpose of hedging.

Muqaddas bhai, Interest (Sood) is Haram for both individual and Corporation as it lead to inflation, recession whereas rental model have asset between two people rent is the fee of using the place. Future trading is Haram as it involves interest rate.

Hello 👋 how can future trading be halal? Like when we buy or sell we don’t actually buy the coin itself you are just bitting on the price in futures without holding the coin means we don’t have ownership of the coin Islam clearly says that you can't buy or sell what you don’t have ownership of Second thing is that in the future we can do a short sale how can you explain that to us? How can you sell when you don’t even have ownership of an asset? Please explain

In Islam you can not trade that is not yours. There is a hadith on this you guys can search. Doing Future trade is 100% haram. It include interest it does not matter in what form the interest is. In future trade you don’t own anything like you do in spot trade that is all borrow and it is in just a form of contract. You take/borrow coin/currency from exchange and do trade on that this is not allowed in islam.

Dear Qudoos Bhai, My opinion on 7:31 is that Future Trading is Haram. Let me explain why i think so.. Let’s suppose i put a long (buy) order at Market price. The amount is deducted from my balance which means i am now in buy position. For a trade to happen, it’s necessary that I should own that commodity in exchange of the money i have paid. Kindly explain, do i own / custody of BTC or whatever coin that i made long (buy)? I think NO. Because it’s neither in my wallet nor i can send it to anyone else because i don’t own it. Similarly, in opening a Short (sell) position, how is it possible that can i sell the coin, when I don’t already have it in my possession to make a sell trade?

Bhai non-muslims ko kisi bhi asset per jo profit milta hai wo usy interest kehte hain. Lekn ye lazmi nahi k wo sood hi hoga. Islam me sood haram hai lekin profits nahi, aur staking per jo rewards milte hain wo transactions fees ka aik hissa hota hai, jo k network supporters ko milta hai. Wo sood nahi hosakta.

Lekn islam seekhna har fard ka kam hai, aur ye sirf aalim mufti ka kaam nahi hai. Jo rules islam me sood k hain unse compare karo, jo apki understanding banti hai wahi karo. Kal ko agar mufti hazraat isy study karen, aur kahen k ye halal hai, to phir ye jo sab haram haram keh rahe hain inka kiya. Islam k fix rules hain, baki har mufti aalim ki apni apni understanding.
